Helper flight home one way, cost ?

Hi
Our helper is leaving and I'm trying to arrange a one way flight home to the Philippines. Can anyone give me an idea of what I should expect to pay? Cathay is around $2,200 one way and Philippine air $1700 one way? Does this sound reasonable?
Is it something we purchase for the helper or should we give her the money to purchase herself?

We use Cebu Pacific. Simply check the cost for a one way ticket. Print it out and give her the cash.

We are planning to buy our helper a ticket this July and she told me she was quite surprised how much we pay for a Cebu Pacific ticket online when her previous employer would pay for an agent in World Wide House, Central for a cheaper rate. I'm not 100% sure but I think there are discounted helper rates.
 
When we were buying Cebu Pacific tickets for our helpers, they found out the price from World Wide House and compared to online it wasn't much different so my husband just bought them online. This was around CNY this year. They also sometimes have deals where they can take extra luggage.
