Helper Contract Renewal

We would like to renew our current helper's contract, so she picked up a set of forms from the immigration for us to fill out.

I'm looking at these forms and am stumped. I have 4 (four) sets of green Employment Contract, 1 application form and 1 Visa extension form. . plus a bunch of other paperwork that don't apply to our case. . . So my question is. . . DO I have to fill out all four sets of Green Employment Contract? Can they be written out not typed?

Also, after we fill out the forms, where do we go from there? I know the Philippine Embassy is supposed to be involved at some point, but I'm not sure for what purpose and when. Would appreciate any pointers on how to navigate this renewal process. Thanks.
 
Yes, you need to fill out all 4 copies of the Contract. Written is fine. First step is the consulate:

You need to take the following:
Old Contract (photocopy)
New Contract [4 copies/1 set from HK Immigration Dept. –
Valid Passport & visa (photocopies)
Duly accomplished OFW Information Sheet (DOWNLOADABLE FORM)
Hong Kong ID (both Employer and Helper photocopies)

I was told the Consulate takes 7 days now.
 
I just renewed our contract as well. I let my helper do all the submissions. Philippines Consulate is involved to attest all the 4 copies. They do take 7 days. Once they hand all the papers back to you- your helper can take the above list Rani has provided with a copy financial statement and original copy of a bill to prove current residency to HK Immigration. The HK Imm. now processes the renewal papers within a day.
 
Thanks ladies. . .my helper's contract expires in February, and as last time it took a long time for the original contract paperwork to come out I was thinking of processing the paperwork prior to the Holidays as I hear the Phil. Consulate usually closes for the holidays for a week or more.

But from the sounds of it, if the HK side only takes a day to process, I think I can do this in January! Thanks.
 
Renewals are same day, and Cara is right you can only do it a month before it expires.
