My 2 1/2 year old daughter refuses to eat. She eats virtually nothing (perhaps a strawberry adn a yoghurt) all day every day and is painfully thin. I feel that her lack of nutrition is affecting her behaviour and development. I am looking for a paediatrician that specialises in this sort of area. Any recommendations?

We go to Dr. Lauren Bramley in Central. She's a GP, but she co-wrote the book "Baby' s Table", which is about baby nutrition. She also has a pediatrition on staff. I am never rushed whan I go in and she has an exam room just for kids. The office number is 2877-6068. Good luck!

Hi,
I went through the same thing with my son and I know how stressful it is when your kid doesnt eat.

We go to Dr. Thondup who is really relaxed and helped us. Good Luck.

health supplement

Hello, .I experienced my son dont want to eat most of the time & we always go to the doctor. One day I met my nepfew & he presented me some health supplements known as BEE POLLEN. I tried it to my son giving him 1 tablet 3x a day. After 2 weeks he alone was asking me for food & his health improved since then.I hope you can find some in the supermart.Good luck

I would also suggest you look at Penelope Leach's book "Your Baby and Child: From Birth to Five". She has a wonderful section about toddler's who "won't eat anything" and about how little they really need to eat to survive and thrive and the weird "diets" they sometimes choose.

I did have a neighbor whose girl was very thin and pale and a bit listless (age about three). They began to give her a big spoonful of honey every day and that seemed to "kick-start" her metabolism and her appetite. By the time she was 4, she was like another child. She is now a blooming eight year-old.
