HELP. Vomiting blood

I'm nearly 14 weeks pregnant and I just vomited up some blood. My stomach was pretty empty so I didn't throw up any food at all just a small bit of blood.

I've had quite bad morning sickness for the past 7 weeks, but haven't had any sickness or thrown up for the past 3-4 few days now, but suddenly the morning sickness seems to have returned today.

I've got an appointment later with my GP but wondering if I should head straight to the ER. I'm just waiting for my hubby to get home so that he can look after our son as we don't have a helper.
 
It happened to me before - I freaked out but it was just a blood vessel . Have it checked if you worried tho.
 
It happened to me too when I was pregnant, because of the acidity of the vomiting, I was so irritated that I started to spit blood, but it didn't last. Anyway, you'd better check it asap, just to be reassured.
 
Thanks for the replies. I'm relieved to report it appears to be just a tear from wretching so hard on an empty stomach. It definitely gave me a fright, but glad it's nothing serious.

Thanks a lot 1stimemum. I'm in my 15th week and haven't been sick for about a week now so I'm definitely on the tail end of the morning sickness - hooray! Hope you're feeling better too.
