Hi everyone

I need information, or more where to get those information...

My 2 years old daughters choosed my last toilet break a few minutes ago to drink the equivalent of her maximal daily recommended dosage of panadol sirup...

From I know, I should get a doctor advice on this...

My problem is I don't know where to ask?

Is there E.R. for children? Phone line for poisoning?

Thank you for yours answers...

Hi Merichan
It's probably fine but I would get in a taxi and go to St Mary's Accident and Emergency in Pokfulam. Take the bottle of panadol syrup with you to show what she took.

Panadol is a very dangerous drug and it's not worth taking the risk.

best of luck - don't panic.

Thank you Honkyblues...

Dying of panic I finally phoned my former E.R. in Switzerland to have a medical opinion...

Given the quantity she drank they were reassuring... she is not in the toxic zone...

Thanks again for your quick answer... it seems we're getting off easy of this one...

you're lucky this time it's just her panadol. pls make sure you put ALL medicine & cleaning products out of her reach. The little ones are so quick it's impossible to watch their every move. One more thing is, do go to a recommended paed for just a check-up or sth. so you have a trusted ped phone no at hand in case of emergencies.

I'm very much aware I'm lucky...

The fact is for the time being we're still in the serviced apartement...

Our stuff and the definitive place won't arrive for at least a month... and the service apartement is very far from being children fit...

My daughter could access knives... everything... this panadol sirup was in the fridge ( it has to be refrigerated...) and the fridge is at her size... And there is unfortunatly no way to correct all that...

And anyway since we arrived here she has been discovering new talents on climbing so that the few places left in the apartement that were out ouf reach aren't anymore...

Moreover... I guess that all the silly things she does these days are a way of expressing her sadness... she misses a lot of people back in Switzerland...

And me being very tired surely doesn't help either...

:bighug oh, i'm sorry about all this happening to your new environment. maybe consider buying a box that can be locked to put in the fridge. and other boxes for knives & stuff. i'm sure your daughter misses her friends at home. but rest assure that she'll meet new friends very soon.

you mentioned that she's 2 yrs old. have you joined any parent & child playgroup so you can meet other mom's w/ kids your girls age. nothing supports more than those who are going thru the same thing.
