Help! Pls share your experience with CIS.

We are interested in sending our son to CIS. We've heard many wonderful things about the school, particularly regarding the bilingual curriculum. However, just the other day, I was told by a friend that the school maybe quite "academic inclined". Could any CIS parents share your experience with the school? Is there a lot of homework or studying required? How is the support system?
