Help! Need to find an affordable kindergarten!!

Hi. My husband and I litterally live pay check to pay check. We have very little in savings. One cause is we both have credit card debt and once we settle in in a flat, a year later we find that we have to move (long story). And when we think we have everything paid for, no matter what, something comes up...maybe just plain bad luck....ugh.
My questions regarding our son's school fees are:

How much do we really need to save in advance for his kindergarten? (It's not November, we have till August 2008)
Where are some really affordable kindergartens? (Under HKD1800)

are you hong kong resident? i think the govt is starting this kindergarten voucher thing. you can search on geobaby for the thread & learn more. on that thread there was also a link to a govt website with info (school fees, address, etc) for kindergartens.

Thank you, but my child was born after Jan. 2005 so he is not elligible for the voucher.

the fees are around $2,200 a month but families in need can pay less (you would need to contact them to find out about criteria)
