Help, my dh got pregnant by a married man

This morning my dh told me that she is 2 mths pregnant and the guy didn't want to take any responsibility as he is married with his wife and kids here (and my dh herself is married with her husband in her country). Now, my dh is asking my help to call the guy as he has not been picking up her calls.
Please kindly help, should i help her or should i ask her to report the matter to the police.

Consensual and not a crime. Don't see what the cops can do.

Best to seek some legal council and use them to make demands to the husband, assuming the idiot has money and status to protect (who will cave in, once he knows that basically his life will be wrecked..)

And then move on and start interviewing a replacement.
 
but you can both agree on a amt of money for your DH so she'll resign. my friend & some threads here tried that, it's usually like 3 mths salary. & remember to get her to sign sth to prove that she resigns & not you terminate.
 
OMG! Employers' nightmare! Send her home as soon as you can. The longer she's in HK, the more problems you are going to have to deal with.
 
Am with Shri and Joannek. Gee I am sick with Amah Drama!! She is so careless. What happend with Condom work for?!! I feel so sorry for them but they are so stupidio (stupid) sometime. Anyway.. Provence good luck and hope you will find a new amah soon.
 
i'd like to see the "father" take some responsibility in all of this.

i know of one such scenario where after the helper announced her pregnancy, the guy said he coulnd't be the father, that it could easily be a few other fellows, etc....and the helper told her employers, who then called the "father" and said they were paying for a paternity test, and since he was so confident, could he please submit dna.

once the "father" knew he was dealing with an expat, he very quickly offered a substantial sum of money for the helper, and even covered the family's fees to get another helper while the pg helper went back to the philippines to have the baby.

i like this story. too often society blames the woman in situations like these and the man gets off scott free. in this situation, the employers stood up for their employee, and for the innocent child. all it took the employers was four phone calls, and one meeting.

Ewee... Sometimes stuff like that happens. And it happens not just to DH. Lots of adults from the educated Western or Eastern world encounter this. Life's just like that. Accidents happens and IQ has nothing to do with it.

It's nice to see a person like Provence not indulge in name calling and instead tries to find a constructive solution to a difficult predicament.
