Help Expressing Breast Milk Got Blood

Hi

I was expressing breast milk for my boy with the Avent ISIS and all of a sudden blood started flowing but there was no pain.

Could anyone advise what is wrong ?

It happened to me a couple of times and my dr assured me that it is not serious, just due to sore nipples. let the nipples rest for a while before pumping again.
