Hi..

My family just arrived in HK 2 months ago. Can anyone recommend a good GP in Central distrist, who has experience for care of both adults and children? Hopefully, not to be too expensive. Someone recomended Dr. Thomas Chan to me? Has anyone known about him?

Hi Karen,

I think it is better to visit 2 different doctors for adults and children unless your kids are beyond 12. Otherwise, it is necessary to have a paediatrician to take care of kids. Cos their medications are really different.

Central district is more on the high side of the charge. My family doctor and paediatrician are both in Causeway Bay.

Adults - Dr LAI Sek Fai 2890 3133 (McDonald Bldg)
Paediatrician - Dr Keith Lee 2895 3637 (Capital Centre)

They are both very conscious and considerate doctors.

Hi Karen

If you're looking for a doctor who is excellent with both adults and children you can't go wrong with Helen Bryden who is based at Trodd & Partners on D'Aguilar Street. I've used her since I arrived 4 years ago and my daughter has never seen anyone else (she's now 19 months). Helen's contact details are:
