Hi

I have heard from one of my friends that they are government health clinic for children. Just want to check fe things:

* who all can go in this clinic
* Do they have child specialist and can we go there for check up for child
and do they take emergencies??

thanks

As far as I know if you have a HKID, you can go, but you do have to register first (by simply filling out a form).

Yes, they do have pediatric nurses and doctors there, but they are there mainly for scheduled check-ups and do not take emergencies. They also have lactation consultants available, whom I've found to be very helpful with advice about latching, etc.

in case of emergency, don't even bother going to this sort of centre. they'll turn you away (witnessed it once). you need to go directly to the (nearest) hospital. in these centres, you only get regular check-ups (they tell you when to come) and vaccinations.
