Hello
Dr Joseph Pang has been recommended to me as a good paed. Has anyone else used him and if so, what are you thoughts? Any other recommendations greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Not a fan. He's not very supportive of breastfeeding, very much in favour of letting very young babies 'cry it out' and a bit condescending to first time parents.
I saw him for about 10 months until I switched.

I didn't like him either. Just the way he seemed to pin down my daughter to vaccinate her felt wrong. He was also very difficult to get in touch with. Dr. Yvonne Ou gives the best vaccinations without restraining.

I second that on Dr. Dannie Ting. Very gentle on kids. Understanding of first time mothers. Very knowledgeable and supportive too.

We weren't happy with Dr. Pang either. Switched after the first month to Dr. Dannie Ting. Have been with her since. She's great with both kids (very gentle) and parents (listens well and never rushes).

We see Dr. Alfred Tam and are very happy with him, although he has a very busy schedule and sometimes its hard to make a last minute booking with him (once I had to see another doctor at his clinic for my LO's flu because I couldm't get a booking with him for the same day). He is very good with the kids and explains things thoroughly to us.

heard not so good things about Dr. J. Pang as well (impatient with first time parents).

We tried three different pds until we are finally settled with Dr. Alfred Tam. He is a great doctor - busy but do not rush through appointments, gentle with my baby boy, knowledgeable and explain things very clearly. He is expensive but worth it.

Dr. Dannie Ting is the best. She is caring, supportive, not rushed, and returns calls. Her advice is always reasonable.

we're also with Dr. Ting and she is really good. Often gives advice even over the phone and does really care about your child.
Have spoken to Dr. Tam as well before and really liked the way he explains things, but as he is extremely difficult to reach (as others have mentioned before) he's not our preferred choice.

Hi there
Many, many thanks for the replies. I will use Dr Ting instead.
Can you please tell me where Dr. Dannie Ting's office is located? I am moving to Hong Kong next month with my 2 month old son and would like to find a good paed. Thanks.

Hi,
I also used Dr. Pang first when my baby was born since he was recommended by my obgyn. But I didn't like him and switched after 2 visits. He didn't support me breastfeeding. No matter what I did, he said I won't succeed. I was sooo upset and disappointed. He was not patient with first time mom as well. I don't know why he is so famous!
I'm using Dr. Leo Chan now and I like him.
