Going public, but which private doc to see for scan?

Hi,
I am going public but want to see a private doc for a scan this week. Didn't have a good experience with a private doc in my first pregnancy, this time round just looking for a doctor who is happy to see someone going public. Don't care if it is it one of the top name doctors, just a doctor who is caring and gives some time! In central area preferably (or tts).
 
I used Dr. Alexander Doo for my private scans. He didn't mind that I was going public and was very helpful throught the pregnancy. His office is always quite busy though and sometimes you have to wait a while for your appointment but he was very thorough and I never felt rushed once I did get inside the office!
 
I had a very good experience with Patrick Chan. He would coordinate my tests etc with the public hospital and told me which I could get done for free with the hospital (so he wouldn't do them if I could get them done for free), and which additional ones I could have with him. He would coordinate those additional tests so that I could have the results available before my next hospital appointment. I ended up only seeing him until I was 17 weeks since I had pregnancy complications which were beyond his expertise (had to see a specialist "prenatal diagnostician") but even with that situation, he was very sensitive and exactly what I felt a doctor should be. Was a shame to stop seeing him, but by then I just had too many appointments... would definitely go back if I ever have a third child. The wait time wasn't ridiculous either - although I've heard he's getting more popular these days. I saw him about 2.5 yrs ago.
 
My baby is 2 mth old & I saw Professor Felix Wong throughout my pregnancy.
I delivered at QEH & as above, there were no issues with seeing him & coordinating visits at the public hospital.

I love Dr. Ma Ching Yee. She is very courteous and assuring. She is popular with locals not expats. Glad that my friend recommended her. :)
 
I personally didn't like Patrick Chan that much but he was definitely cheaper than other private doctors. He did my downs screening for 2400 HKD in total as I recall, 900 for scan and 1500 for blood test, but he didn't automatically offer any print outs of the scan and I just got emailed my results by his reception with no explanation and no follow up. Could have done it at the public hospital for free.
 
Be careful about choosing an OB to do the NT scan: there was a gov report which discovered a significant number of drs offering this service weren't actually qualified to do it.
