GAMES for kids party

ha, I was going to suggest the same as carang! my kids (6 & almost 3) love pin the tail on the donkey, pass the parcel, and pinatas.
 
my kids LOVE musical chairs...
i would just keep in mind that i would give everyone a "prize".

when i did musical chairs, i gave the child without a chair a stamp on their hand. the person that "won" i gave some stickers and suggeted that they open them and give each child a sticker, too.
 
yep, that's really what they cost...

for pin the tail.. you can make it yourself. it can actually be any animal you like (we went to a party that had "pin the tail on the SCOOBY!").

Just buy a poster card paper ($6) and draw the animal you want. buy a second paper and draw a bunch of tails. write each child's name on a tail. and voila!
 
You can also make a pinata as well with paper mache over a balloon/wire frame. We made a shark pinata, but used too thick a layer of newspapers, so it really took a lot out of the kids to whack it open. Got them all tired and sweaty, though!
