For those who have full insurance coverage for their visits/tests/deliveries, which insurance carrier do y'all use, and are they all corporate (employer) policies?

Thanks. :)

Hi,

I have full insurance coverage for all maternity costs, e.g. doctors visits, tests and delivery.
However it is a corporate policy that my husband's company worked out with an insurance company and which they designed themself; the insurance company is based in my husband's company's home base and not HK.
Are corporate policy's the only ones which cover all costs?

bekyboo44,

do you know which country and company the policy you have is from? my hubby's company is not in hk and i would like to find an alternative to our just taking out a personal policy (which definitely wont cover all costs).

thanks.

Hi,

The insurance company is based in the Middle East, and I think the only reason why they agreed to provide my husband's company with the insurance policy, is because my husband is actually employed by the government of that country and then seconded to the company here so it's an exceptional situation.
Maybe it's best to approach an insurance company here about a corporate policy?

My husband's company's health insurance provider is Cigna, and my own company's {I am employed locally} is Bupa.
We are using the Cigna policy to cover the pregnancy and birth costs.

It is up to you what package you pay the premiums for, as to how much is covered, so you could approach those providers to check what packages might be suitable for your own circumstances, and the related costs and reimbursement rates.
