Frozen BM - how long they last?

HI All,

After surfing the net for bf topics I came across different times suggested for storing frozen bm....Some sites said 3 months in the freezer, some sites said 2 weeks, that's a big difference. I am giving bm a month old to my 3 month old baby girl while i am at work, and i just have a normal fridge with freezer compartment on top, not a separate freezer.
Is it OK???
Please help.

i started buying subzero thermomters to put in my freezer, so i know what temperature it is in. i also notice that it is better to freeze bm within 24hrs. if u do have milk in the fridge, then use it within 8 days, but don't put them in the freezer, say, after 5 days cos the taste change.
 
BTW, i noticed small white dots floating in my thawed milk evertime, does anyone have the same thing happen to them?
 
Unlike homogenized milk, human milk will separate when left to stand, with the fat rising to the top. This does not mean it has spoiled. Simply shaking the container gently will restore the milk to a homogeneous consistency. This happens to both fresh and forzen milk.
