food / lifestyle / medicine for conception?

My husband and I are in our late 20s and we've been TTCing for about a year now. After the first few months, I had a body check and was found that my uterus lining was unusually thick. I was taking the Estera Phase I from Pharmanex then, and after I stopped for 3-4 weeks, the uterus was back to normal thickness.

Now it's another 9 months and still now results... I've been told that it's easier to get pregnant before one turns 30 so my expectation was quite high... When and where should we get help?

It's important that your husband is also checked - that is incredibly easy to do, just take a sample and send it to a lab. In fact, a GP can order the test for you and unless there's a problem, there's no need to even see a specialist.

Women's fertility is far more complicated, and you probably need to have a thorough check by an obgyn if you haven't already. You NEED to start charting your temperature and menstrual cycles if you haven't already too, because that is often the first thing they will get you to do.

It took over a year before I conceived my first child - I was only 25 when we started trying. I went to see a specialist and pretty much she told me that although I did have mild PCOS, there was no reason why I couldn't conceive naturally. She recommended trying ovulation kits in addition to my charting. I did and fell pregnant soon afterward. If I was older, she may have been more aggressive, but due to my age, she wanted me to try naturally a bit longer first.

Funnily enough, after my daughter was born, I managed to fall pregnant relatively quickly when she was only about 9 months old. We weren't even "trying". We had a miscarriage, but I fell pregnant again by the time she was 12 months old. I don't know why the first time around it just wasn't happening, but after that baby, it was much easier.

Anyway - I hope that it happens quickly for you!! xox

Thank you! Thanks for the tips, I've begun to be more diligent in tracking BBT. I hope there will be some good news soon!
