Food in QMH

Nope, bring in whatever you like. You can bring snacks to leave in your bag too. Some of the food was pretty gross - but they had the BEST oranges I've ever tasted in Hong Kong! Whenever I buy oranges here, they're either too dry, or not sweet enough. Now I know why - all the good ones go to QMH! ;) I went down to the cafeteria once or twice - and there's a Starbucks too...

the food there is HORRIBLE!

my hubby ALWAYS brought me lunch/dinner. i took a 1/2 loaf of bread and a small jar of peanut butter for late night munchies.

also PIZZA HUT delivers there as does SOHO DELIVERS. the only thing is that they have a minimum order. i ordered a small pizza and a ceasar salad one night from SOHO and it was FABULOUS! especially when i compared it to the sweet & sour hot dogs they served the other patients!

the cafeteria downstairs is a cafe de coral and they do bbq pork rice etc. not too bad.

star bucks as well, as someone mentioned... there's also a 7-11 downstairs for drinks other than coffee.

forgot to say that i also took dry cereal and bought a little thing of milk. they do provide milk, but it's usually at night and i wanted my cereal for breakfast.

they have boiling water available if you want to make some tea.

forgot to say.... take your own knife, fork & spoon, as well as cup. i was able to scrounge a bowl and chinese spoon from the food services staff that i just kept with me until i was discharged.

you've got some great advice.

there is a cafeteria downstairs that offers icechips. i found that very helpful.

good luck.

I brought my own cereal for breakfast, along with a bowl and spoon.
Ir you grab the breakfast ladies quick enough they will bring you a carton of milk.

My hubby bought me lunch and dinner during visiting hours.
Which was fantastic, he was just like Cuisine Courier!

Nicolejoy - I remember the oranges being great at QMH too!
Not so great at PWH though :)
