Food Allergies

Quick question about food allergies - we fed our 10 month old daughter some cooked salmon the other day and she broke out in a few small blotches around her mouth. They went away about 20 minutes later. Has anyone had similar issues with any foods?

Yes, I had. Stop feeding her Salmon for about a week then try again in small amount and see what hapen. That's what I'd do.
My son got rash like that aroundhis mouth when we fed him formular that made from cow milk.

Interesting..according to wholesomebabyfood.com, salmon is considered as least likely to cause allergic reactions.

But you never know, you should try again next time.

Hi MeowMeow,

My husband and I were wondering if the sauce the salmon was in (it was mixed with pasta)... if there was something in it that she just didn't agree with. I tried again the other night and still little blotches. I am going to wait a week like adahc suggested and try salmon again - but just plain - no other spices.
