Flight back to the Philippines for terminated helper

If we terminate a contract this week, when should I book the return flight back for? Does the DH have 2 weeks in which to secure a job before going back or is that just hearsay? If we terminated this week, I'm just not sure whether or not to book the flight for next week or two weeks time.

Any advice appreciated!
 
yes, she has 2 weeks to try to find another job.

i would simply check the cost of a ticket, print it off.... give her the cash and have her sign that she's received it. then she can book when she is ready to go home.
 
For me, i prefer to buy online (cebupacific.com), ask her right away which date she wants, buy and print ticket, give to her and let her sign that she agreed on the date. I did this while she was signing all the documents.

I want to know exactly when is she leaving and it's cheaper than giving her $1,000 which is the norm.

I want to pay with my miles so I'm not keen on giving her cash. I think I'll do what Crystal said and while she's signing the documents she can choose her date.

oh, she can choose whatever date, but make sure it's within 14 days. My last helper who terminated her contract went home the following day, i told her take advantage of 14 days so she can look for another employer, but she declined, so i issued a ticket day after. Last week, i got a letter from finance company that she owed $6k++. Now i know why she was in a hurry to go home.
