First Appointment at Tsan Yuk - What to expect

Hi,

Does anyone know if they will do a scan at the first antenatal appointment at the MCHC? I read an old thread of someone describing what to expect, but they didn't mention a scan, which I would think would be the first thing they would do to confirm your pregnancy (as some referral letters would be old - like mine. I confirmed my pregnancy 8 weeks ago).

My first appointment will be at 11w5d, which seems late, but they can't fit me in earlier.

Any recommendations on a specific clinic where I can get all of my tests done earlier? I know that Annerley provide a 30 minute "Antenatal Checkup" for $760 - has anyone tried it?

Unfortunately, they don't do a scans on the first visit. The nurses will register you, weigh get all your info etc.

There are a list of Drs in the Geobaby directory and you can visit any before that. At the GeoBaby lunch last week a few mums were raving about Dr Eric Lee. He doesn't rush patients and is lovely.

Also Dr Sally Ferguson is no longer doing deliveries but does prenatal care. She's also listed in the GeoBaby Directory.
