FINALLY!!!! A playgroup in Stanley!!!!!

I am so exctited! There is an awesome new playgroup that has opened near the Stanley market (kind of behind it, near the Baptist Church). It is offering a variety of classes for children under 5 (baby class, Mandarin, storytelling, cooking, art and craft etc). They are offering free trial classes over the next few weeks and start business in August. Everything is brand new and spotless, colourful and welcoming. The best thing....they even welcome helpers, unlike the St Stephen's playgroup.

Do they have a sign on the street? Are they on ground floor? We are around the rest of the summer and would love to check it out.

Yes, they are on the ground floor. It's a bit difficult to describe their location, it's kind of just in behind the Stanley market (and right accross from their door there are several day spas and hairdressers....another added bonus). Do you know where The Pizza Club is in Stanley? Its right there. I don't have the exact details with me now but will send them to you this evening once I get home.
 
Also, I will just add that today my son attended his trial class. Being only 1 year and 4 days old we weren't really expecting much from him other than playing with toys. When we arrived there were so many activities all set out for him; sorting beads, drawing, stacking blocks etc. He loved it! Then when it was time for him to sit on the mat to say good morning and sing the alphabet and count, he sat and listened like he was 10 years old! After that he had a snack and drink then into another playroom for some PE. The equipment was perfect and he loved it!!!!! In the next room there were older children busy with art and craft. I cannot say enough positive things about this playgroup.
 
Sounds great. I would like the details also - however I am sure I can find it in the Markets. A phone number would be great if you have it to call and book in a class. THanks
 
It looks like the playgroup is only suitable for children over 1 year. Dolan anyone suggest any good local activities to take a 6 month old baby to? Thanks!

The public playroom is pretty good for babies - even if they are just sitting or crawling. It is clean, brightly colored and has nice padded floors.

At that age, out daughter liked to sit in the sand at the beach in the shade and play also.

If you know a member of the American Club, there are Kindermusik classes there for infants once a week. I think there are also music classes run out of people's homes around Stanley, but don't have the details, sorry.

It runs Tues-Friday mornings from 9.15 to 11.15 and is a great way to meet other mums. Look up the church website for more details. It would be perfect with your 10 month old.
