what is more important? a good fertility center or a good doctor?

i had a miscarriage about 2 years ago and have not been able to get pregnant naturally since. i am now looking into IUI or IVF.

from what i have read in the forums it seems like sanatorium hospital has good ivf center. i gave them a call to see which doctors use their facility but was not able to get a good answer from the nurse. do i have to see one of their doctors (dr. milton leung)? do other doctors use the sanatorium ivf center to perform procedures?

are there other doctors you would recommend that specialize in fertility treatments? or other facilities?

fertility doctor

it took me ages to get pregnant with number two, probably the combined selling a business, moving countries, settling my first child into school didn't help! I started seeing Dr Philip Ho, a fertility doctor, I was told was excellent in this area. I am now pregnant, didn't need to go down the IVF path thankfully, but have decided to stay with him for the delivery as he has been very professional and his nursing staff are fantastic.
He is also really centrally located on Queens Rd.

Hi
Im very sorry to hear about your MC.

I used Dr Philip Ho. He was very good and his assistant Kelly, is fantastic. You will hear that again and again from many people! He works out of his Central office, but uses HK SAN.

Pink, before Drs will start you on IVF or IUI, they will probably want to know as much as they can as to WHY you are not conceiving. If you are not temping already, to prevent delays, you might want to start..

As for who is more important dr or lab...that's sort of a which came first, chicken or the egg scenario! I do have complete confidence in Dr Ho, though.

If you do a search, there have been lots of threads that should be able to give you names and numbers.

Good luck, hope your IF journey is short.

My best friend is an IVF doctor back in the states, and according to him, the ability of the embryologist and the facilities at the lab will impact your success rate a lot more than which doctor you choose. Based on this info, we called the Sanatorium (as they seem to have one of the best labs around - one of the few who can do a 5-day blast transfer) and they gave me a list of doctors who work with their lab. From this list, the nurse with whom I spoke recommended Dr. Ho, so we are going with him.
