Feeding in an upright position

Hi, my baby is 4 months old. Recently, she would cry & scream if I tried to bottle feed her in the usual feeding position (ie. head & upper body elevated at ~45 degrees). She'll only eat if I position her upright (close to 90 degrees). I'm not sure why this is so. Just wondering if any of your babies have experienced the same & why this is so?? Thanks

I had to do that with my little one. It was because she suffered from reflux. She was able to drink and keep more down, and get less gas sitting upright.

My baby is almost 5 months and I noticed that she likes to look around more while feeding. Maybe this is what is happening with your LO?

Yes, my baby did the same! I used to feed her in the Baby Bjorn. She had reflux from approx. 3 months and would cry, scream and arch her back everytime I tried to feed her. It was horrible but luckily she outgrew it at about 6-7 months.( I gave her formula that was specially for reflux.)

Mine outgrew it when I introduced solids. Feel for all the mums and babies who've had to deal with reflux. It can be so frustrating!
