Unfortunately the rules have just changed in the UK effective April 6 this year and it look like you can no longer take FDHs back to the UK, unless you are a diplomat or an overseas citizen moving for work. And only then you can employ them for a max of 6 months and cannot renew. I've looked into this for when we eventually head back to the uk, as we will not have family support. So I was incredibly disappointed to find this out. Have a look at the border control agency uk website for more info, might be worth also speaking to someone in the consulate to find out more.
