looking into ESF primary admission policy, it seems that kids from its kingdi are hardly not to be accepted as they said any turned down would be after the discussion from teacher of kingdi.

Anyone knows about this? is this true or it is not a case?

many thanks!

I remember a few moms on here during the past years who were not accepted as 2 terms (you need at least one term in K1 and a full year of K2 to get priority if not mistaken) does NOT give priority so they basically go in the same lot as all other Cat 1 and 2s.

Good question. I've also registered ESF K1 for my son for 2013-14, but my greatest fear is that after 2 years there he doesn't get into an ESF primary school. I would like to start to teach my son his second language - Cantonese by next Spring the latest (we are living in HK). That would put him in Cat 2, wouldn't it? I don't see the point of getting him in an ESF kindie if he ends up in Cat 2 and not get a chance to have an interview, or flunk out just because he can speak Cantonese...

OR you could look at it that if he is category 2, being from ESF kindy will give him the highest priority possible (outside of sibling/staff priority I think)... You could check with the school whether ANY Category 2 students are accepted to that particular school, and how many category 2 spaces are available to assist you in making that decision.
