Electric Fan - brand recommendation

Would like to get recommendation for floor standing electric fans. I went through Midea and another small brand, the cheaper ones, both breaking after about a year. I might want to spend more this time around to get something that lasts longer. Any recommendations? I'm looking for something that puts out stronger winds.. thanks!
 
thanks for the recommendations. can you also let me know where you got these brands from? I mean distribution location, I tried to call Rowenta, but of course, cannot get anyone to pick up the phone. thanks!
 
You can try departmental stores like Sogo, jusco etc. Or stores like fortress, best denki and broadway. The bigger branches will have a wider variety.Rowenta, Origo, Mitsubishi and Midea are all farly common.
 
For things that are supposed to last, I always always buy Japanese. I have a panasonic standing fan, and it's great.
And for safety, I just bought one of those mesh fan covers at the Jusco $10 store. No incidents yet.
