Eggless birthday cake or other options

Please DONT try the eggless cake from CAKE-A-LICIOUS , you will be disappointed!!!
I tried the eggless chocolate cake with chocolate icing , it turned out to be a BROWNIE CAKE with sugar granules in the cake icing!!!!!

Please DONT EVER GO TO CAKE-A-LICIOUS!!!!!
you are bound to get disappointed!!!!!!!!
 
Are there any ideas on other places to get eggless cake? My son's first birthday is coming up and he is allergic to egg white.....

Saffron bakery (saffronbakery.com) makes eggless chocolate cake. Not cheap though. I ended up baking one myself, using cake mix with banana and baking powder to replace eggs. Suggest you bake a test cake first to try it out.
 
I can recommend going with Chef! My daughter has an egg allergy and they made her a birthday cake which was very yummy, and just made me an eggless banana cake for my birthday which was great.
 
I have recipes for eggless chocolate cake (more like a mud cake), and white chocolate cake (white chocolate mud cake) which are both very tasty.

If you want me to send you the recipe, just send me a PM - they are pretty easy to make, but do require flour, so no good for gluten allergy.
 
Chef - do you do gluten free cakes as well? My husband is a celiac so always on the look out for GF baking.

GF means no wheat based flour or anything at all containing gluten or oats, typical flour replacement in baking would be almond meal. Maize is also used a lot in savory dishes. You have to be very careful with glazes, thickeners or types of wheat based starch. Even soy sauce contains gluten!

We always get our eggless cakes made at the Intercontinental Hotel (ex-Regent). They don't have a cake shop anymore, but if you call, ask for 'Harbourside'. They make an excellent eggless chocolate cake, but our favorite is their eggless Pistachio cake.

I need an eggless cake and I've heard so much about your cakes. The lady I normally make them from isn't in town and I'd rather get them made from someone I'm comfortable with as I've tried some pretty bad eggless cakes. Would it be possible for us to chat to see if what I have in mind is possible?
