Actually, I am thinking about starting to collect everyone's email addresses and other contact information so that we can maybe set up a mailing list for future playdates. I got the idea from the American Women's Association group, they have weekly "due date" lunches (Mondays at 12:30) which will then turn into their support meetings/play dates when babies are born and big enough.

should I start a new thread?!?

PS. Got our 3-D scan on Monday - VERY cool (see profile pic). our little boy is NOT so little! Weighs 2.82lbs and measuring more like 28 weeks 3 days, versus the actual age of 26 weeks 6 days!!
 
amazing these scans!!! so cute your little one. would be great to have a mailing list for future playdates.
 
Mailing list great idea. Also thinking about how we're all going to meet up with babies in tow...unfortunately my building doesn't have a playroom but maybe if others do in their buildings...afterall I'm not sure how many cafe/restaurants in Hong Kong could cope with all of us!
 
Tinks and I live in a building on Kennedy rd. with a great playroom/facilities - playroom mostly for older kids, but we could probably meet in one of the multi-purpose rooms with our own toys no problem.

Someone also mentioned the open space/waterside park in Pok Fu Lam.

Perhaps I am being naive as to how active little ones are! I guess the place would have to have good changing/nursing facilities and space for lots of prams!
 
hi guys,

think that an email list is a great idea! I know it's a bit of a journey but we're moving to DB end of Sept and we have a beautiful park with a swing set and sand box right next to us so that could definitely be an option.

i'm just hoping to have visitors, feels like we're moving to the suburbs!

I think Kharel lives in DB too and I'm in Tung Chung, so not that far away! I understand what you mean though! But we can sure meet up! =D
 
I LOVE your pic - I already said this in the other thread, but I'm getting one done TOMORROW - I'm soooo excited!! Hopefully we get some good pictures of baby!!!
 
Yes, will definitely be joining the lunch :) also, great pic! we were able to get a 3D scan as well, but it took some time as our little one wasn't being so cooperative.... good luck today, nicolejoy - hope u get some great pics :D
 
ugh - doctor is delivering a baby so my appointment is cancelled!!! I'M SOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!! I know that's life, but I've been counting down the days for this, now I have to wait until Saturday!! Ah well, too bad...
 
oooh nicole I HATE when that happens - you don't want to feel angry at the poor woman in labor, but you just can't help it!
 
I know - I was sooo upset!! Stupid pregnancy hormones!! I wanted to cry - I over react to everything these days ;)

Hi girls, we have set a date now for the C-section, so am now counting the days till 22 Oct!!! God, I cannot believe it's so close now!

Anyone else suffering from insomnia? Haven't been able to get a good night's sleep in ages!
 
I sleep like a log ;) Crazy dreams EVERY night though...

Last night I dreamed that every time I got in a lift with a pram, the doors would close between me and the pram. Sometimes I would be in the lift and the pram would be outside, other times it was the other way around. But I was running all over the place trying to get the pram and me at the same place at the same time!!! So traumatic ;) ;)

Had my glucose tolerance test this morning - that was pretty traumatic too ;) The drink was WARM!! Not hot, not cold - but about body temperature!! Sooooo gross!!

I have a regular doctors appt tomorrow and my ultrasound on Saturday. I don't know why EVERYTHING is all bunched up this week, but that's the way it is!!!

Also there's a "get to know you" thread in this section that most of us have posted in, it's like an introduction with things like where we're all from, when we're due, baby number 1 or 2 or whatever... etc.
 
My doctor could fit my ultrasound in today so I got pics of my baby!!

Here's one of my favourites - but the WHOLE time, baby was "hiding", or playing peek a boo or something ;)

Baby's really chubby (you can see the chubby cheeks in the picture!!), I'm only 31 weeks but by the size of the baby, the doc measured it at 33 weeks!! Baby is currently weighing around 5 lb as opposed to the 3.75 lb that corresponds to how far along I am!!
