Due Oct-Dec 08??

aw - if I had more time, I'd head out there - but I'll be on the plane in... 35 hrs (still procrastinating about getting ready ;) ). Thanks for letting us all know though!!

Mey Maz! Thanks for the tip off for Spotlight! Went there last night. Bought some sheets and got some ideas for curtains too! Cos we were just thinking about having to get some blockout curtains for when the baby comes... They've got loads of stuff there! I never knew what they sold there before! Cool! Do you know the size of your cot though? I guess if the fitted sheet doesn't fit, we can always just use the flat sheet. Dirt cheap anyway! ;)

oh, we had our anomaly scan on Thursday. All's good! :) Baby has a big head and skinny body compared to all other measurements!?!? Due date (according to the scan) has moved forwards again - it's now saying 25th Sept?!

Has anyone looked into prenatal classes yet? Any ideas at what stage you should take them and do you need to book far in advance?

It's not that soon! Still got a OVER 4 months!! XP

Smiles- The ladies at Annerley said to book them for around 28weeks. I'm going to go with them but haven't booked yet. Will be doing that soon.... I'm now almost 22 weeks!!! Eek! Maybe it is soon!

are you showing?

PF are you showing?

Or anyone else for that matter? I find after I eat I get huge - to the point where if I hold my belly people actually get out of my way on the street!! It's a little scary considering I'm only 15 weeks! I lost weight at the beginning but now I'm back to normal - so it's not like I've gained weight either.

About the pre-natal I was told to do it as close to the labor as possible so everything is fresh. But at the same time I'm sure theres information presented that would be beneficial now...I wonder if there are video tapes you could watch to refresh your mind?

i am almost 19 weeks now and already huge. doctor said, i probably get a massive belly. and that in summer....
are all prenatal classes with partner? or are there any you can do alone. don't thnk my husband wants to learn the breathing :)

I start antenatal next week and I am 18 weeks- everyone said this is a good time as you can then take extra classes on any area that concerns you. I will let you know how it goes..

It's so exciting everyone is starting to show. I'm 19 weeks now and my little belly popped out about 2 weeks ago. I already find myself rubbing my tummy without realising it!

Kharel where are you going for your classes?

I've heard Annerley is really good, but is anyone going directly with their hospital?

Oh for sure! I'm showing!!! Well, still a case of people who knew me would know, people in the streets "might" still think I've just been eating too much...!?

I've signed up for the antenatal classes at QMH as well, they start next week! Didn't really have much choice with that one cos they only hold the English speaking ones once every 3 months.

Kharel, where are you doing yours?

On the subject of ante natal classes, I've just booked mine. I'll be just short of 24 weeks when I start them which I think is a little early, however, the next available course is running when I'm in the UK and the next course after that runs past my due date...arghhhh!! I've chosen to to with the ones run by my hospital (Matilda) but I've opted for the ones in Central as I'm not sure I can cope with the nauseating cab ride up to The Peak ;-)

Ninahh - I'm planning to bring hubby along with me to the classes.

Has anyone had any problems with dizziness? Nearly passed out on the way to work during the week (not so fun when you're on your own on the MTR!). Happen once before a couple of weeks ago...I'm assuming it's just low blood pressure

Does it happen suddenly with no change in your position or just after getting/standing up?

A little scary if you're on your own definitely.

I have had a little dizziness, usually happens if I get up/stand up too quickly. I take a few steps and then start to feel dizzy.

It has happened when I've got up quickly but on two occasions I was already standing. Something I might mention to my doctor next time I see her just in case...

My sister warned me that I might suddenly feel faint/dizzy during pregnancy. I had a few bouts of dizziness at the beginning but haven't had any for a while. They do say try not to stand or sit in the same position for prolonged periods cos movement increases circulation. Standing up quickly also makes it worse...

dizziness is very common in pregnancy, so do be careful especially if you are alone or on the escalators or going up stairs. A friend of mine actually blacked out at IFC when she was alone, it was really scary for her. I think she was around 30 weeks at the time.

I didn't have any dizziness in my first pregnancy but I did hear that it can hit you anytime.

bubbles in my bly

I felt the baby move for the first time the other day!!! I'm only 15 weeks along so I'm feeling super elated!! It was about 1 inch below my belly button and felt like butterflies.:yeah2:yeah2:yeah2:yeah2:yeah2:

Isn't it exciting! I've felt the baby move (well it feels like bubbles and pops) for quite a few weeks now.
I can't wait for proper kicks...my hubby feels a bit disappointed he can't feel it yet.
