Due Oct-Dec 08??

Thanks for starting this thread nicolejoy. ^^

I am at 9 weeks 5 days and my due date is October 1st. This is my first baby but I don't feel the excitement yet. The whole incident still seems a bit surreal to me until last week, when I saw the fetus for the 3rd time and now it's becoming more like a human. Already booked Canossa.

Nausea 24/7 but no actual puking. Getting better when I entered 9 week. Constipation getting better now that I take digestive enzymes and probiotics. Boobs up one cup size. :haha:

Hi RidingC,

Welcome and thanks for your helpful tips! I guess I'll have to give up my favourite breakfast: baked beans on toast.

nicolejoy - babys heart beat - congratulations that must have been amazing I can not wait to hear ours.

No sex in first trimester..? We have not seen the doctor yet but I had no idea...admittedyl I am not really in the mood as I am constipated, have awful wind and feel dead tired...on top of that no sex my husband will be delighted haa!

I had constipation problem too and read a book by Dr. Gowri Motha who recommended digestive enzymes by Udo's Choice. I bought a bottle at CitySuper and started taking them. Big improvement!! You may wanna give it a try.

Hi, I just found out I was pregnant as well. Due Oct 24. Went to doc yesterday and he did scan where we could see the heart beat. Very exciting. Congrats to all of you who have just become pregnant as well!

Well finally back in HK. Boy was that flight long!!!! Not helped by feeling sick all the way. Half way through I just wanted to get off. Glad to be back though.

Just booked in with Dr Ho for our first visit very excited, bring on Monday.

Hi Everyone!

It's so nice to read all these messages from people with a similar due date! I guess I'll be one of the first to pop as my due date is 2nd Oct!!

Does anyone know when you'll get to see whether the baby's a boy or a girl?? Can you tell by the 12 week scan?

It was so good to read that I'm not the only one that can't wait to start buying maternity wear! My husband thinks I'm crazy when I'm not even showing yet! Trying hard to hold back until I'm past 12 weeks...

I went looking for maternity clothes yesterday but couldn't find much that I really liked. I haven't even seen ONE long skirt!! (I LIVE in knee length to long skirts!!) H&M has some nice tops though - but I didn't buy anything yet... No point when I still into everything I own!!

Oh - if you like - check out this thread here: http://www.geobaby.com/forum/get-know-each-t123281.html - I started it to try and keep track of who everyone is, when you're all due and all that kind of thing!!

PurpleFlower - I think you can tell the gender around weeks 16-22 or so... (just from memory)... but this is my first so I'm not 100% sure...

Nicole - I've posted on your other thread hun.

Having a wobble today - my pregnancy symptoms (sickness & sore boobbs) have virtually disappeared. I've also been having one sided period type pains in my lower back. I phoned my clinic and spoke to the nurse who told me it was really common for symptoms to come and go but to put my mind at rest I could come in for a scan. My doc is in surgery all day today so I'm booked in for a scan tomorrow. I almost said that I'd come to clinic today and do the scan with the dildo cam myself I'm so concerned - lol! I'm just praying that my little bean is still there tomorrow. Goodness, this pregnancy stuff is so hard - I wish I had my own scan machine at home!

Hey Nicole! I was in H&M yesterday too!! I couldn't resist.... I bought myself 2 pairs of pants already! Trying those pants on with the extra belt around the waist made my belly look that much bigger! :haha:

Wanted to buy a few tops too but they only had XS in stock.... knowing that my boobs are going to get bigger, didn't think it was wise to be getting one that's already tight!

The shopping spree has started!

All went well today at the scan - bubs was still there and with a heartbeat - phew! Feel so relieved. Will try and relax a little now...yeah, right! Pregnancy symptoms have also come back with a vengence - I've never felt so pleased to feel sick!

dildo cam

ROFL - that's hilarious!!!

I said to my hubby the other day "If they don't want us to have sex, why is it ok for them to use that on me??" ;)

I still don't really have many symptoms other than just being tired all the time... and my boobs are a BIT sorer, but not MAJORLY. My hubby insists that they're bigger - but I'm not convinced lol

So how's everyone doing this week? Any doctors appts this week? How's the morning sickness? Mine still hasn't started - although I'm a BIT more queasy than usual... nothing major though...

Hiya! Was just beginning to think we were getting a little quiet recently!

I was quite desperate to post something this morning. Just to let everyone know... I read something yesterday about how it's common to feel stomach cramps similar to period pains towards the end of the first trimester, often lasting a day or so as the placenta starts to take over it's job or something... I didn't really read too much about it as it was quite late... and then this morning I woke up with minor cramps!!! I was so worried! Eventhough I "knew" it was supposed to happen... It was just a little uncomfortable and a little worrying - what if the cramps wasn't the placenta taking over (or whatever it was)?! Anyway, it's gone away now, though I have been feeling mild discomfort throughout the day... Just thought I'd share that with you guys and maybe can check it out...?

Other than that, I'll be having my 12 week scan next Tuesday!! =D Can't wait! :yeah2

X

Awesome PF!! (that's short for Purple Flower ;) )

Anyone going away for Easter? We're going up to Shanghai. We planned it before we knew I was pregnant. At least I'm not sick or big and uncomfortable yet... it should be fun!! We're going with my FIL (he has a place up there, so free accommodation!!)

Then the week after that, (two weeks from today, I think), I have a 9 week scan. From that, we should be able to tell the due date better - I'm irregular with my cycles so it makes it a bit harder to know the due date from just that alone...

Had my first scan on Monday. Very exciting. Heart beating strong!!!!! We got our first picture for the album of the little "blob". I now understand the "dildo cam" comments hahahaha.

Queasy still all day. I'm coping so long as I eat something small every couple of hours, as soon as I'm hungry I'm in trouble.

Have fun in Shanghai, Nicole.

Hello there, I am also due early Oct with my first. Great to see other mums-to-be here :) This is my 10th week now and I am still feeling very nauseous and very sensitive to smells...still trying to find foods I can eat without feeling uncomfortable after. Also belly is starting to show a little.

Congrats Maza and Sasha!! It seems like a lot of us October due date people are first timers!!

We'll have to try and get a lunch date or something happening sometime. Is anyone else interested??

Sounds good! Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays are usually better for me, though it can sometimes change....

One other thing, does anyone have a full-time job here? Just wondering, if you've sent in your notice about your pregnancy yet? What did you write? I think I need to send mine in soon since I've now reached my 12 weeks but "Hey, I'm pregnant" doesn't quite seem right..!?! Any advice?
