Thanks Rani. Really enjoyed meeting you all although these 'user names' are confusing me.... (I was one of the British blondes in the middle of the table!). See you soon, Charlotte

Hi all,

Sorry to have missed dinner. Hopefully I can make the next meet up.

Rani, I sent you a PM on the day, not sure if you got it. Unfortunately, I'm still pretty sick at 18 weeks, thanks to hyperemesis gravidarum. Hoping it gets better soon & I can meet you all.

It was lovely to meet everyone the other night and thanks Rani for organizing. Look forward to the next catch up.

Hi everyone, I've been MIA the last month as been crazy with work! I hope everyone is well or getting there...I'm 15 weeks now. Yay!!! I feel a lot of my energy coming back now and can't wait to attend the next meeting. For some strange reason my phone wasn't alerting me of the new msgs so unfortunately I missed you all on Wednesday. It looked fun! I'm away til may 30th so hope there will be another together from then. Look forward to meeting you all and sharing this amazing experience! ;)

Expecting twins in November

Dear all,

My husband and I are expecting twins in late November, but there's a catch: I am not pregnant. After nearly eight years of infertility, we have a found a wonderful surrogate mother in the US who is carrying our two precious babies. I realise my situation is vastly different from what you lovely pregnant ladies are experiencing, but I am hoping you wouldn't mind if I joined your group and took part in any meet-ups. We have lived in HK for two years (currently residing in Mid-Levels), but I have to admit I am a bit overwhelmed as to how to go about navigating this amazing, chaotic city with two newborns.

The best to all of u

Hi there ladies,
I just joined geobaby, so I though the first step would be to join my birth group! My baby is due in November. I actually live in Guangzhou China, but there aren't really any support groups that I can find, and we go to HK enough that I thought I'd just join a HK forum. I also have a one year old :)

Was lovely to meet everyone last week and I'm already looking forward to the next meet up and getting to know everyone and their stories :-)

Baconbitzy how exciting for you and absolutely you are welcome! In now just over 13 weeks and feeling a little better - morning sickness is now only in the evening so that's something at least!
Looking forward to meeting everyone! X

Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone is doing prenatal yoga? In suffering from sciatica and hoping it might help. Would like it to be near an mtr stop if possible. Thanks

Hi everyone,

I also would be interested in any pre natal yoga or pre natal pilates suggestions, preferably weekends or weekends as I work full time.

Also, I'm due in early November with our first baby. I would love to join your next catchup if that's ok :-)

I've tried yoga room before and they've plenty of prenatal yoga and pilates classes. One drawback is that only one shower room is available so don't expect to shower after class. I'm going to try Flex studio next week and the only classes are in the afternoon. Alternatively you can always sign up with Pure Yoga but they're quite costly. It'll be worth the money if you attend 2-3 classes a week.

I'm doing yoga at MYOGA - they have studios at Causeway Bay & Mong Kok. Huge classrooms, many yoga/pilates/dances classes, half local teachers half english speaking teachers... you can trial class for free. The Mong Kok one has 50 showers, and free towels etc. You can negotiate a lot of rates, I negotiated for 7 classes a month for 1 year rather than their usual 2 (I just said I may leave HK). You can stop anytime (because you are pregnant) and they let you extend the months after giving birth.

They have special prenatal classes which you pay more, but you can just go to normal ones and tell the teachers, all of them know what position to do / not do during pregnant, so often they'll just tell me to change my position a little. They also adjust positions for those with back injuries etc.

I'm with yoga room but haven't tried prenatal classes yet. Have been thinking about going for ages though... Maybe this will motivate me :)

Will let u know how they are if i do end up going in the near future
