Due May 2014

Hi girls!

I hope that everyone is feeling well, such an exciting time for us all! I'm 12+5 & finally feeling great! We shared our news with everyone this week after our 12 week scan & blood results were all good, was very exciting & makes it very real now!

Was wondering if anyone was interested in catching up for lunch/coffee in the next few weeks? Would be lovely for us all to meet & share this amazing journey together. I'm in Happy Valley but more than happy to meet anywhere.

Let me know if anyone is interested & hopefully we can coordinate something so we can all catch up.

Forgot to say I thought I was due at the end of April but after having my 6 week scan I'm now due May 6th!!

Sarah I would love to have a coffee ... I work full time so it would need to be an evening or the weekend... I'm in Happy Valley/Causeway Bay... Having my 12 week scan tomorrow .... Very nervous...!!! LJ

such a nice idea.I also would love to.For me also weekends are better. Im in kowloon city ....well ....far from u guys but no matter.We can arrange it.
what kind of scan do u mean LJS? u mean for down syndrome?
 
Yes I am having the nuchal trans test tomorrow ... I am most defiantly not one of those lucky women that don't show much until later... I already have a bump!!! Which is reassuring at this stage but I have a feeling I am going to be huge ... Next Saturday I am free if that works for everybody .... LJ
 
Im sure it will go smoothly with u and ur little one. Instead of being nervous just imagine u can see most parts of ur baby tomorrow and dont think about anything else. u can take a pic :)
well, i did i last week and havent got the result yet but try not to think about it ;)
wow, thats nice u have a bump. for me its more my tummy :( im gaining day by day :(
next saturday is fine for me. would love to see u guys soon

I'm actually in Malaysia next weekend. How about the Saturday after?
LJS I had my 12 week scan this week & I was so nervous but felt great afterwards! The sonographer was fantastic & went through it all in detail with us & told us it all looked great to her which was reassuring. I had my bloods taken & then they called me the next day with my Down syndrome risk (which was thankfully very low). We then felt confident to share our news with everyone which was great. I see my ob this week to get a more detailed follow up of my bloods/scan etc. I hope all goes ok for you this week, the fact that we have got this far is an achievement :-) Let me know if the following Sat 9th works for you both? :)

Thanks guys ... V excited/nervous about tomorrow hope I have a nice experience like u ... 9th nov sounds great ... 10am breakfast/coffee at Classified in Happy Valley (in an attempt to avoid central on Saturday). However is that too far for you Rosi? LJ

Hi All,

Sorry to jump in out of the blue. This is my first baby and I wanted to wait till the first trimester was done before joining the geobaby website and becoming part of the community.

You all have been so wonderfully supportive of each other - I wish I had been on this forum earlier to share in this conversation.

I am due in the first week of May. I have a high stress job and have spent the last three months perpetually exhausted. It would be so great to share this journey with others. If it's not too much of an imposition, I would love to meet up with you all if the breakfast for the 9th is finalized.

Sorry, as I said Im still sick and sometime headache last 2 days like yesterday and the day before :(
10 am in Happy Valley is actually difficult for me as I dont know the area. but honestly I dont know how I am at that time to promise. Could you please let me tell you about it next week, I am afraid I promise and then headache makes me break it.

dont make yourself tired. your body needs more energy to cope with the change in first trimester.

Hello everyone... I got my downs results and I have one in 9500 chance which is quite low apparently ... Baby was moving all over the place that made it hard to check him but all good and everything is in place ... Having additional tests done that should be back in 3 weeks (due to some genetic abnormalities in my huge family) when they come back clear I am going to tell everyone and I can't wait. Work seems pointless to me now and I just want to have this baby now ... All very bizarre considering this is unplanned and I only found out 4 weeks ago! I blame the hormones! Let's leave the coffee etc as it is and decide nearer the time if we change locations .... Hope everything is ok for everyone ... Welcome to the 2nd trimester! This is meant to be when we are most happy in our pregnancies!!! LJ
 
Hi girls,

LJ so glad all went ok with the scan & bloods, have been thinking about you. You will feel so good when you can finally share your news with everyone! We told everyone at the end of last week after we got our bloods back & it was such a nice feeling to finally share our secret. I now have quite a bump so you can definitely tell I'm pregnant whereas before it just looked like I'd eaten too much dinner!! :) It is funny you say that about work, I left my job mid August to complete my bachelor of teaching & found out a month later that we were expecting! It has actually been really nice not working & it is funny how things turn out isn't it. We are in the middle of moving apartments (still in Happy Valley) to a bigger place so it has been so nice not to worry about working with everything there is to do with a move!

Rosie, I hope you are feeling better. Would it be ok if we left the breakfast/coffee plans as is for next Saturday & we can work it out closer & see how your feeling etc?

Brinda, welcome & congrats on your pregnancy!! I was a little similar with not wanting to organise/plan too much before 12 weeks, I'm a little superstitious at times :) I wanted to organise coffee for all of us to meet up that are due around the same time & told my husband that I'd wait until all our results from 12 weeks came back ok :) Would love you to join us for coffee :)

The Downs scan was the first time I saw the baby moving. The doctor kept poking to get the baby in the right position and this led to a lot of arm flailing and shifting around :) There are days when I wish I could keep seeing what is going on inside ......

Rosi, I hope you feel better soon and we can all plan something next weekend.

I hope that you are feeling a little better. Let us know when you are feeling better & would great for us all to catch up. I know how you are feeling .... I was sick 24/7 for 6 weeks straight & have only started feeling better the last few weeks.

Wow LJS, tats great news :)
I have my 12 weeks scan in two days, hoping that everything will go smooth.
This week I have started to feel much better, less tiredness, the mornings aren't that bad and overall I feel happy :)
How are all u ladies feeling?
I too have a tiny bump which my friends and colleagues keep staring at ... LOL.... but I am gonna announce the news after my scan next week.

Good luck with your 12 week scan tura! I hope all goes ok :-) Let us know how you get on. I'm just over 13 weeks now & finally have started feeling a lot better too which is great. A few of us are meeting up for coffee next Saturday morning if you are free & would like to join us?
