hi zany

i hope u are ok. w yr morning sickness! sounds like it hits u bad in early mornings!! poor u!!

h

Thanks guys for the support :-)

Good example of morning sickness not only in the morning...I just had lunch...four cheese pasta...I had a hard time to finish my plate and I still feel :barf:

Babymo, for the fruit, I never heard about not beeing allowed to eat " fridged /cold fruits". Rinse your fruits before eating them. Otherwise, I don't see why you should not eat them.

Good story about your colleague's perfume ! :haha:

pinkballerina, I understand what you're talking about for the Welcome on Caine road:rofl: better avoid this kind of places ! Do you live close by ? I live on stauton street !

I understand you didn't tell that many people ?! My husband and I couldn't keep this news secret...almost everybody around us know :yeah2

If you;re looking for some books, I found a good one at Dymoks : "Pregnancy Bible", a lot of good information about your body, your baby, the evolution of pregancy, the delivery etc. It answered a lot of questions.

zany, I live on Robinson Road so not far from where you are.

I just went and saw an acupuncturist and she's also put me on chinese herbs to help treat my cramping, and other physical ailments (both preg and non preg related). She said I shouldn't be eating "cold" foods and therefore I should be eating fruit and veg cooked rather than raw. I'm fine with a vege stirfry but I'm not sure I can boil up fruit...yuck! I have to see her once a week until I'm 12 weeks and hopefully the treatments should support my body enough to help prevent miscarriage.

At this point, I'm willing to try anything that will help give me the best chance. I feel so stressed today because my cramps have been quite noticeable. Anyone else having the same issues? :frown:

h ihi

hi pink balleria
my hubbie also told me not to eat cold stuff, icecream or cold drinks, that why he said no cold fruits too! i think its a chinese believe.. they are not good for the body!

u have cramps? like period ones?? i dont have that yet... so i cant advise sorrie!! i hope u are ok. maybe have a bath later too. and relax! ...

xoxo see u all tomor..

Hi Pink Ballerina - if it makes you feel better, just letting you know I have had some mild cramps too. I find it happens especially when I am tired, but seem to go away if I rest up (have a nap etc). I was having a whinge to my husband, who kindly reminded me that I had that with my first child too - how quickly we forget! I beleive it is just your uterus getting ready and developing for the growing baby. Have you seen your Ob yet? If so, they should have given you their number. If you are really worried, you should call them just for reassurance. Looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the gals tomorrow! xox
PS - I was recommended by my first Ob not to have baths as you don't want to overheat. You may be aware that when women want to bring on labour they have a bath as I think it is renown to break your waters, so not sure if it is true or not, or an old wives tale, but something I have decided to steer clear of just in case.

Hi Ladies!

I just started the morning sickness symptoms at around 8 weeks, before that I was just tired all the time (still am!). Every little smell bothers me, and though I have not actually vomited, I feel like the toilet is my new best friend. I've found ginger ale helps, and also making sure there is something in my stomach all the time. An empty stomach makes it worse, and even when the last thing I feel like doing is eating, I make myself eat some crackers. I've heard at 12 weeks you feel a sudden burst of energy--- I am so looking forward to that! I joke that this baby is sucking the life out of me!

AussieMum- it's called the X Y test, and it can show the sex of the baby at 8 weeks. My cousin told me about it, not sure if they offer it here in HK. I actually was in Shanghai last week and went to a clinic with a really bad cold and they offered me the test. The results just came in yesterday, but I am a bit skeptical... I have an appt with my Dr here tomorrow afternoon (after our lunch) so I will ask her about it then...

Zany- Looks like we are in the same boat!

See you tomorrow, and for those who can't make it, looking forward to meeting you all another time!

Pink Ballerina- I had cramping as well. I've also been told it's just your uterus stretching and making room for the baby. I think as long as it is not accompanied by heavy bleeding it is ok, but you may want to call your OB for peace of mind...

Thanks so much for the words of reassurance girls. It has made me feel much better. I think I'll call my Doc in the morn if they are still persisting.

See you tomorrow! xx

Hi. I had a scan this morning and instead of being 8 weeks and 6 days I am 9 weeks and 2 days moving my due date to July 7th, 2009. Getting closer and closer to my husband's Birthday!!!

Congratulations to all!!

hi babymo,

I don't have any symptons yet but today did feel slightly nauseous. I did not get too much morning sickness during my first pregnancy but had several nauseous days so hopefully this one will be same if not better. Think sour plum helps ?? but cannot take too much...

Thanks so much to all who were able to make yesterday, Emma and I enjoyed meeting you all and sorry to those up the other end of the table who we didn't get to chat much with. Lets keep this a regular thing. As Christmas is fastly approaching and many may go back home for the festive season, I thought maybe bring it forward a little bit, to say Monday 15th? Does this suit everyone. Then maybe we can leave it till early in the new year when some may have returned. I will send around an email to all, including everyone's names and contact details. And if we have any new comers who would like to get to gether, please feel free to PM me and we can keep you updated of the details. Let me know if the 15th doesn't work for you, and if we have many, we will reschedule it. Thanks again girls, great to meet you all, and looking forward to the next Pregnancy instalment update! xoxox
