Due July 2009

Hi Ladies

I'm 12 weeks this week, due around 24 June. I can't find any thread corresponding to the month of June and was told by some friends to join this thread as there are some of you who are due end of June

This is my second baby and hope to meet up those due around the same time so when the babies are out, we can arrange for playdates!

We're new here, just 3 weeks in HK, currently staying at Kornhill Apartments in Tai Koo Shing and looking for a place to live around Clearwater Bay/Sai Kung.

If anyone is planning to meet for coffee, I'd love to come and meet up!

You are most welcome to our meeting next december 16th. Just have to send a PM to Aussiemum with your email so that she can send you the infos and include you in the futur mailing.

Gwen, if you want, there is a Mum due April-June 2009 in the forum by due dates club. But of course you are welcome to the july/august 09 one if you prefer.

i am 6 weeks and 1 day!

do u girls get a stuffy nose and runny nose in the mornings? i get it every morning!! v annoying and itchy!
and esp when i smell v strong perfumes! ohhhh

Dear Sandra & Gwen - welcome to the forum and congrats on your pending new arrival. Feel free to send me a PM and I will email you through the details of our next get together! We really look forward to meeting with you both, and hope you can make it to our next gathering. Gwen - doesn't matter if you are due in June, we would still love to have you along and share the pregnancy journey with you. This is my second pregnancy, but first in HK (I have a 11 month old little girl), and will be 7 weeks tomorrow (looking forward to that 12 week mark!). Hope you have both been well.
Babymo - no sniffles for me as yet, but I do think I am beginning to feel signs of morning sickness (very mild though). Am also slightly tired, but I think that is mainly having to put up with a teething girl who decided to keep me up all night -oh the joy!

Hi everyone, and congrats on everyone's pregnancy!

I guess it is time for me to join the due date club!! I am 5 weeks and 4 days along and just found out last week. My head is still spinning from the news!

This will be my second child, but the first in HK. I have a three year old boy who was born in the US. Even though I have done this before, three years is just enough time to forget everything!

I will have my first scan tomorrow. It is a bit early so I'm not sure if we will see the heartbeat, but I had to get the appointment in before we leave for the Christmas holiday. If we don't see the heartbeat I will have to wait until we return... 23 days later!!!!

Looking forward to chatting with you all through this exciting time!

Liz, I hope your scan goes well tomorrow. I also have a scan tomorrow and am quite nervous about it. I hope you see a little flutter on the screen so you don't have to wait another 23 days!

Anyway, sorry this is short but I just thought I'd pop in and say hi to everyone and welcome to the newies. I hope everyone has had a good day.

It's only 8.30pm and I'm already ready for bed, so goodnight everyone.
 
Thanks for your warm welcomes! After reading all your comments, I can say that I have similar experiences.. I actually thought I 'escaped' the morning sickness symptoms but today I feel quite poorly, just want to snuggle up under my duvet and be left alone! Hmmmm, I guess it's all part of the pregnancy journey! I am feeling a bit anxious at this early stage in the pregnancy, but we all feel the same I'm sure! Looking forward to meeting you all at the next get together..
 
Welcome and the due date thing!

Hello!! Congratulations!! Can't wait until the gathering to meet everyone.

Just received an e-mail from a friend in the States that she is pregnant and due around the same time as me!! Only I am waiting until week 12 to spread the news. DOn't want a repeat of February (miscarriage news!!) Have almost slipped a few times!!

I am seeing a private doctor until I deliver but "registered" at QM today and they told me my due date is June 27th. Dr. Cheung told me July 7th (it moved up from the original date of July 10th) SUper confusing because I thought they were going on the size/age of the embryo. Anyway......should have my Mom arrive in HK at the end of June just in case!!

Welcome, ladies! Looking forward to meeting you all! I am heading back to the States on Sunday for 2 weeks for the holidays. Am a bit nervous about the long flight- better get an aisle seat as I am still going to the bathroom every hour! Good luck on all the scans happening this week, keep us posted. :)

MisB - i plan to do the same, go private w the scans/ etc and then go to QM..... u registered already.. are u in yr week 11? i heard u have to be at least week 11 ..before they let u register? i am only week 6.5 weeks! waht did u need to register? a postal address? a bill or bank statement?? recent one? how come QM moved up yr expected date??

hapa.. enjoy yr holidays.. hope u have fun! and do make sure u get an asile seat and nearish to the toliets!!

aussie mum yr scan is tomor too! mine too!! at lunch time! so excited!! hope we see something... maybe a heart beat!!

hi liz.. what did u see at yr scan? see any heart beat? congrats!!

yesterday i finally had my first " felt" cramps and during dinner i actually felt sick! i wasnt sure if i ate too fast and too much and wanted to vomit or is it due to mornign sickness etc! and i was v v tired and didnt feel ok ... for the rest of the nite!! oh.. maybe morning sickness does start v soon! ohh!
 
Good luck with your scan Babymo - mine is at 3.45 in central, will be hoping for a heartbeat. Sorry to hear you didn't feel well last night, I find I get very mild sickness but if I have a little something to eat it soon goes away, or a nap helps. The cramps have been there though, but when I have a little sook to my husband he reminds me that I had this with our first too, which is kind of comforting (how quickly I have forgotten). Anyway, keep me updated, good luck to others having scans this week. xoxox K&E
 
Welcome new ladies and Hi Gwen!

Babymo - I do have a stuffy nose in the mornings and sometimes throughout the day. Not sure if it is a cold or caused by being prego. No morning sickness yet but I feel uncomfortable from time to time.
Good luck to you and Aussiemum on the scan tomorrow, my first is next wednesday, can't wait!

Morning sickness mild but still there, an apple of a few wholeweat crackers help to calm it down.

Stupid question : does your belly starts to grow ? I can't fit in any of my clothes anymore ! I had to go and buy pregnancy pants at H&M yesturday ! I didn't move on the scale, I'm still the same weight, but you can see my belly getting bigger, doesnt' look like a "baby belly", but it's definitly out ! just wondering if I'm the only one...

ohh... i was going to ask everyone the same thing! i am getting fatter v quickly too! belly is diff bigger despite i am only 6 weeks and a bit! i think i gained around 2-3lb already!!!!

has anyone gained anything in the first trimster??
i read u should jsut gain around 2-3 for the WHOLE first trimster!! oh dear!! and my breasts getting bigger, i need to buy new bras v soon!!

and i dont even eat much junk or fattening stuff. i just eat a bit more of normal food like during lunches/dinners!

Hi Jeanne - I have pulled my pregnancy clothes back out of the cupboard too! I don't think I have started to grow outwards because of the baby, I just don't like the feel of anything at the moment tight around my tummy. I feel a bit sensitive there, but I think it is fluid and your lower tummy muscles adapting (hence cramps sometimes). With my first pregnancy, I didn't 'pop' until around 14 weeks but just before than seemed to have a jelly belly (wasn't pretty)! I am the same on the scales too at the moment, but do feel like I have a tyre around my waist when I look in the mirror. Ahhhhhh!
 
Good to hear ! jelly belly or a tyre are exactly the words...god it's ugly lol ! It's getting even worth during the day, after meals ! It's just in the front though, no big change on the hips. People who don't know i'm pregnant will just think I'm getting fat ! not really sexy :haha:

HA! Jelly belly is EXACTLY right! With my first pregnancy I didn't show at all until 14 weeks. No one believed me that I was pregnant. But now... total jelly belly. I was laying on the couch this morning and my son was having a good time gently poking my belly and watching it wiggle!! It is soooo bloated and pudgy but I haven't seen any change on the scale or with my clothes.

Well, I am about to head out to the dr.'s for my scan. I'll let you all know how it goes!!

BTW, I love everyone's pregnancy tracker at the bottom of their posts. It is so funny to see "ONLY" 200 plus day left! That sounds sooooo long!
 
Hi Girls!

Everyone's been very chatty today. It's been nice reading through all the posts.

My scan went well this morning. He saw the heartbeat straight away and my hubby and I both cheered and I nearly cried with relief. All the cramping last week made me so worried. Still can't see much on the screen though. Just looks like a big blob to me. Anyway, I feel somewhat relieved for now. Can't wait for the next scan on Dec 23rd.

I'm also starting to feel a bit fat. I have no idea if I've put on weight or not, as I haven't been near the scales but my jeans feel a lot tighter these days and my boobs are a bit bigger but they seem to go up and down for some reason.

Good luck to the girls having scans tomorrow. Make sure you let us know how they go!
