Hi Ladies

This has been mentioned a few times, I thought I would get the ball rolling by trying to find a date that suits. I wondered if we could reserve an area in a bar for early evening drinks, maybe husbands/partners could drop by too? But, its up to you guys what you want to do and if anyone else wants to help organise they'd be very welcome! What about:

Tues 21st
Weds 22nd
Thurs 23rd
Fri 24th

Let's go with what works for the majority shall we?

Thursday, Oct. 23 works best for me.

I think meeting at a bar is not such a good idea since seats are uncomfortable and we're not allowed to drink. How about dinner at 7pm at a restaurant like Stormies (LKF), Pizza Express, or Fat Angelo in Central? It's better to book a table at a restaurant for a gathering.

You are very good at this Dink! I am free any evening next week. My suggestion is Frog Face Fish on Wyndham Street - very tasty indeed.
 
or actually Dink, I think the bar idea is a good one as people always need to arrive at different times - how about upstairs at stauntons for drinks and very good bar food? might be easier than a dinner booking...

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Let's see how many of us there are .... the last couple of times we have had lunch there have been one or two last minute acceptances which the restaurants were unable to accommodate and it's a real shame to see people miss out, so if we're going to get the whole 15 or so of us together then Stauntons might be a good bet or on the other hand perhaps we just get two tables somewhere. (So many pregnant women in Hong Kong!!!) But as I say, more than happy to go with the majority view. Shall we give it til say Wednesday for people to respond then fix a date?

By the way Redbean, can you only do Thursday or is that just what works best?

I can do 21,22 or 23rd and am looking forward to meeting you all. I don't mind a bar or restaurant....am new to Hong Kong so would struggle to recommend something!

wld be lovely to finally meet everyone. got back fr Melb last week and am still sick like a dog!! oky wed is 12 weeks on the dot. that's magical date when everything becomes good again right? :)))

Kiwichick, i think you were asking a quick on Canossa? i did give birth to my boy there and it was a good experience. not a matilda hotel but we had a private room and hubby stayed over. walking distance to home so that's why we are going back there again.

I would love to join as well. Think I am free most of the evenings, but husband is probably out of town until 24th. Not a problem though! Anywhere is fine by me, however there are some bars that still allow smoking, so that may be a concern. Look forward to chatting with everyone!
 
Sounds fun! I should be able to make 21 or 22. Will give hubby a night out with his mates this time : )

I second Frog Face Fish, although next door's La Mer Brasserie is nice too and good for group gatherings...

Wednesday 22nd okay??

Hi all - Thanks for all the replies, so I make that 11 interested so far, plus I spoke to another girl at pre-natal yoga today who I think may join us.... Sounds like dinner works best, tomorrow I will try some of the places you guys have suggested and see if they can fit say 15 of us in for Wednesday 22nd, as it seems like that is the most popular choice. Hope you are all okay with that plan?? Now, we could always invite any brave husbands or partners to join us for a drink afterwards, but if the rest of you are anything like me you'll be ready for bed by 9pm anyway! Will post up confirmation of a venue shortly... others still welcome to join.
