Congrats girls.....am also due in early Apr. Am going to look into maternity packages at Cannossa (which is close to where I live) or Adventist. My husband's cousin gave birth at Adventist, and they seemed to be very well taken care of.
Have already been to the doc twice. The doc suggested I also register at a public hospital, in case of emergencies, so I have also registered for prenatal tests at Tsan Yuk (public) Hospital at the end of this month.
Hi nr88, what's your feedback dr. Alexander Doo? I heard that he's got a long wait time and doesn't spend much time with you. Keen to hear another point of view as I also heard that he's very good. Thanks!!
Hi All, this is my second child here in HK and will be delivering at Queen Mary - have the downs screening today (wish they didn't call it that! To me it's just a normal scan) so fingers crossed all going well. How's the morning sickness going? Mine has been absolutely horrible hope it goes away soon and this is my 2nd child.

Hi ladies, also went for my first check up last week and I'm 7 weeks pregnant, due early May. My doctor unfortunately will be away that time so I will need to find a new doc.. Any recommendation? I am also interested in this best of both option (public + private), has anyone decided on it? I've only looked up this midwife program at Annerley, and would love to hear anyone's opinion.
Hello everyone!
im also due around mid april. I will most probably give birth in Matilda (like last time which was only a year ago).
Jenn2, a few of my friends used Annerley program and liked it. I didnt and it was ok without it too
Thanks gackin, I actually went to their free session and it was helpful! Will look into a bit more but wouldn't have problem taking the package, esp if I take the option of giving birth at public hospital.
Hope your morning sickness gets better soon!
First child....have been lucky with no morning sickness, just loads of food aversions. Can't stand curries, spicy foods, seafood, all types of mushrooms, and have developed a craving for croissants and danishes.
Am having my downs screening next week. How long does it take to get the results?
jgnhk - Dr Doo is very good. He can be quite abrupt and matter-of-fact, which might not bode well for some, but he knows his stuff and responds promptly to any concerns we have. I've seen him only twice though, once at Matilda and once at his clinic. So far so good.
Ireneitty - I got my downs screening results in less than a week. Hope it goes well!
LLD - Yes, would be great to meet. I'm in Mid-levels too!
