Hi everyone - have just found this thread on GeoBaby and would love to join your group - i am pregnant with my first baby and am due on the 15th December. It would be great to meet people who are at the same stage of pregnancy that I am ! I have been in HK for a year and a half - before that we lived in London for almost ten years - still getting used to HK - not to mention being pregnant ! Hope to hear from you soon !

MonD - welcome to the group and congratulations on your pregnancy. There is 5 of us in the group at the moment and all of us are pregnant with our first babies. We are meeting for lunch again next week on Wednesday July 8 at 1pm - perhaps you can join us then if you are free?

Anna - just wanted to see if Dressed has places to sit? I thought it was more of a take away place. If they don't have anywhere we can sit and chat perhaps we could go to Union Bar and Grill - they have yummy spaghetti!

Hope everyone is having a good week. Scan went really well on Saturday although baby had its legs very tightly closed so we couldn't confirm the sex - cheeky monkey!
 
Hi MonD, welcome to the December and first-timer group! I also moved from London to HK in March. Many changes within a year!

About a lunch place for our next meeting, Dressed does have tables, but I have second thoughts about the place. It gets really busy during lunch time, and there are five of us, so it might be better to go to a place where we can make a reservation for a table. I'll vote for Union Bar & Grill.
 
hey tried to reply the other day and it kept kicking me off. i agree, lunch at dressed will be busy with all the business peeps so let's do union. welcome MonD to the december group!
 
Great! Union Bar and Grill it is. So far I count 4 of us for next Wednesday. Anybody else? I need to know exact numbers so I can book the table.

Been having a look around at prenatal yoga/pilates classes but haven't really found much during the week. There is quite a few places with classes in the evenings and on weekends but not much during the day on weekdays. Pure Yoga has a few classes but I refuse to go back to them as they will make me sign a lengthy contract (again!).

Weekend tomorrow - yay! Oh and best luck to McBlowfish for her wedding tomorrow!!! :dance: It is McBlowfish getting married tomorrow isn't it? Or Banane...oh dear pregnancy brain kicking in!

Hi - would love to join you all - what time will you be meeting at Union Bar ? I work, so can probably only get there by about 12:30.
 
I'm getting married on the 25th! Less than 3 weeks away...eek! Hope McBlowfish had a great time at her wedding! See y'all tomorrow!
 
So it was McBlowfish getting married - thanks Banane! I couldn't remember which 'real' name matched with which 'user' name.

I have booked a table for 6 people at 1pm tomorrow at Union Bar and Grill. I booked under my real name, "Sarah". We do have 5 confirmed for tomorrow but booked the extra seat just in case incubator was joining us. :)

mcblowfish, actually we met yesterday, on 8th... Too bad you missed the lunch! Anyway, congratulations on your wedding, and I hope it was a joyful, happy, beautiful occasion, and you had a wonderful honeymoon.
 
oh my my bad - must be my pregnancy memory! Not going for honeymoon until august - let me know when u gals have your next lunch gathering. Feel so bad missing out on it. I really wanted to come.

Am due Dec 4 and we kept the gender a surprise! It will be our second. Hope u r all feeling better and getting your energy back. I just felt a rush of energy this week, which is a good sign....!
 
Hi girls,

So sorry that we missed you McBlowfish and Incubator at our last lunch. We had a lovely time and it was good to update on everybody's progress. We had quite a few OSCAR scans to discuss and I imagine next time we will be discussing everybody's 20 week detailed scan. I won't be going for my scan until the 30th.

So I'm thinking lunch this week. That way we are having a catch up every 2 weeks or so. What day works best for everybody?

I'm also thinking that we should do lunch on Saturday 1 August at around 12.30pm with husbands/partners. Anyone interested? That will be our last weekend in HK before we head back to Australia for a few weeks.

Hope you are all well and were nice and dry after last night's typhoon!

thanks for organizing. I am pretty much free next week i think a couple of gals mentioned that they preferred weds right? Let's do lunch every 2 weeks!

It's a great suggestion of the partner gathering but unfortunately my husband and I will be away for our honeymoon on Jul 31 for 3 weeks (in australia as well!). Anything before or after that will be good for us. Otherwise you gals go ahead and we'll join next time.

But lunch this week sounds great - look fwd to it. Let's say central again?
