I also went to the Annerley clinic free info session, and found it very helpful. After some consideration, we're going with half public and half private. Since this is our first baby, we want a little more hand-holding than the public system seems to offer (and my visa and HK ID card have taken longer than we anticipated, so we've needed private care in the meantime until we can get registered in the public system).

Any chance any of you live on Lamma Island? I'm a little worried about going into labor when the ferries aren't running, and wondered if any of you are facing something similar?

Hi ladies. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant, and taking private medical care now. The doctor has shared a budget of approximately hkd95k for the delivery, including the hospital costs. We are exploring the public hospital costs now as well ~ can any of you lovely ladies guide me on how to go about it?
