@ Aprilbuddy2014, thank you for your wishes and double finger cross, my hubby will accompany with me every time to have the antenatal visit, after all 2 people to make baby and that is his responsibility, he loves the baby encounter too!!!

@ Rani, would be great to have the meet-up, Geobaby "Horse Baby" meet-up, fabulous!!!
 
I'd just like whether any of you have started buying maternity wear yet? Including bras, stretchy pants, belly band?? Also, what stores do you recommend (especially for bra fitting)?

Has anyone started using stretch mark lotions/oils? Do they really help?
 
@ Kkangaroo, I started to wear maternity wear once I knew I am pregnancy and changed to the nursing bra and underpants already.

There are different brands such as GAP Maternity, H&M Mama, 010, Old Navy, Americana Mama and a lot more.

For nursing bra and under pants, Marks & Spencer, H&M Mama and all lingerie shop has the variety of choices. Belly band has purchased but yet to use.

Anti-Stretch marks cream / lotion I have used up one tube of Mustela, now using the Palmer's onwards as it was on sale with mega size bonus.
 
wow, I am still going in my normal clothes, but do want to start looking at maternity bras. I will definitely invest in a belly band, too.

@pollyrafiq- where did u purchase the Mustela/Palmers anti stretch mark creams? How much are u getting the Palmers for on sale?
 
Good topic! I am thinking of changing my wardrobe this weekend! I have been wearing slim dresses for work but none of them fit NOW. My manager is on holiday till 2 weeks later so out of respect, I'd like him to know first before my colleagues. So I have been hiding my belly with my scarf! My bras and dresses are all so tight that they are starting to annoy me!!!! (I have gained 5lbs so far!)

i'm still just wearing normal clothes... although I find myself unbuttoning my pants after a meal :P Haven't bought any other maternity wear yet... although I had to get a wireless bra for comfort. Uniqlo wireless bras are quite comfy!
 
Definitely more of a belly at nine weeks this time around ! Guess body just remembers .. The belts are really useful as is the h and m stuff! Have my nifty on 11 July. Good luck to everyone!
 
wow.. it's great to hear everyone is passing the 12 weeks marks soon and looking forward to meet you all in July :)

I'm planning for Nifty in my week 14, I'm wondering the average fees for getting the Nifty test, the obstetrician I have been consulting with is charging around $10,000 is that reasonable?
 
@gdphuket- I searched for a Nifty Test in HKG, and came up with one that is doing it only for $7000-7500. I think you should search around for more options!
 
@ gdphuket, Nifty can be around HKD7000 to HKD10k but HKD10k is the top notch price, I will have my Nifty Test this afternoon HKD7000 at TST while my previous doctor in Central HKD9000, if your is a good doctor, stick to it.
 
Yea, the one I found is Dr. Lam from HK prenatal diagnostics (Central).

so I recommend calling him instead at 2877-3280.
 
Oh sorry not getting nifty actually just getting standard down s testing and if numbers don't look good will then ask for nifty . But yes heard 7k
