Due Date - Jan 2015

Wow getting more and more mamas for the Friday gathering :-)
Thanks Polly.
I'm looking for the one in HK island and considering either Adventist or Canossa.
Any mamas here heard anything about these two??
Thank you :)

Hello NYC, I will have my prepared childbirth course in Adventist and can then share more on the ward tour, Canossa; Maltida; Sanitorium; and the one I will deliver at St Paul Hospital are good in the Island side, are you currently in HK or New York coming to HK like your screen name?

Hi Polly , I'm a HKer and the name is part of my Chinese name :p
You think St. Paul is better than Adventist?

Hello NYC, I like St. Paul given central location in CWB easy to commute home or anyone want to visit me like my hubby, maid or family; affordable price and it's close to my home in Fortress Hill the nearest private hospital if baby requires any medical advice in the future.

@Polly

How much do we owe you for dinner?

Is there a room we need to go to when we get to the Medicial Association? I have never been there so excuse me if its a daft question!

I'm landing from Korea at 17.45 so should be on time but if I am a little late, you will know why, I am on my way and have planned the work trip around being back to meet you ladies :-)

Hi Polly,

All sounds good, except the almond tea, because Chinese Doctors don't suggest pregnant woman take almond or any food contains almond, especially not during the first trimester. Plus Chinese almond has two types, bitter one(北杏仁) and sweet one(南杏仁), bitter one is poisonous but normally been used as a special Chinese medicine in some Chinese prescriptions.Cantonese traditional almond tea normally combined those two types of almonds, but in different portions, use less bitter one than sweet one. About this point I also checked with a western doctor, he also mentioned that Chinese doctors suggest not take almonds during early pregnancy.
But there is another one called : 桑寄生蓮子蛋茶 which suppose to be very good for pregnant woman.
Here is a link you can have a look, but it's in Chinese traditional: http://www.christinesrecipes.com/2010/08/chinese-herbal-dessert.html?m=1

Just in case if we need more options.

Thanks a lot for organizing this dinner for us, looking forward to it.
