Due Date in July - September 08

my visit at QE was okay. took weight, urine test , height, blood pressure and blood test. i told the nurses that i do not feel too comfortable, having cramps and so on, they allowed me to see doctor.. and i heard my bb's heartbeat.. using the doppler..
felt so relieved..
i went to see dr. lam yung hang today. had a very happy experience. he seems quite nice and friendly. we kept copies of the ultrasound and also dvd. all is normal..
i am expecting a girl..
oh, and vomitted on the street today.. arrgghh.. thought all the vomittings should be over by now.. but it is still going on.. :(
enjoy your pregnancy everyone.. and do keep us update of your news and info.

hi there i am due on the 26th of july. i seem to be blessed with a good pregnancy and it is my first time. i was tired a bit in the first trimester and eating like crazy but seem to have settled down now. i am concerned however with my weight gain - have put on 5 kg which is very very high. ideally i only want to put on max another 2 kgs weight - any tips how to do this? trace

umm prenatal classes - i am not even sure what these are? how long they go for etc... i will be delivering at the matilda - should i contact them?

Hi

I would be interested in a July to September due date club. I am due on the 31st August and have just been for my OSCAR test this week.

Would like to meet some other mums to be

Thanks for the suggestions on prenatal classes. Going through the public system and live close to Tuen Mun so not sure how far I want to travel in the heat for classes.
Think I am about to retire some of my clothes for a long time. Just getting a bit too tight!

hi tracey nicole,

how about buying some work out dvd from hmv? i just bought one from hmv. maybe 35 minutes work out a day, would be good?

Hiya,
I've also started taking a small box of dried fruits and nuts with me everywhere as I always seem to be hungry and it stops me buying chocolate or other fatty foods (well...it doesn't always work..)!
Exercise is definitely a good idea too - it's supposed to be very beneficial for you and the baby.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi everyone,

I'm posting in here because there's no "October" thread yet - but I just found out I'm pregnant, due in late October!!

I'm sure I'll be posting more here over the coming months!! Looking forward to getting to know you all!!

Nicole

I am due July 9 with No. 2. I have been getting weekly massages since month 3, any harm to me or the baby? Which areas should not be massaged?

Am also not going to go to antenatal classes, as number 2!

Am waitlisted for Matilda- not happy about it!

The abnomality scan is a 3d/4d scan (can never remember which) and Dr checks all babies organs, skeleton etc. for any abnomality's. Is truly amazing.

We really want to take a week's holiday before the baby is born - somewhere warm and relaxed (i.e. the opposite of HK at the moment!). Our budget is tight as I am no longer working and have no maternity leave.
Does anyone have any reccommendations?

The Philippines is nice and cheap and not too far away, also Malaysia, means you dont have to get cramped on a plane for too long.

Hubby and I have just come back from a Europe trip, and the flights there and back were horrid, back ache, swollen feet, stomach swelling to an unbelievable size! So would definitely reccommend short flights.

Off to Malaysia for the weekend next week and can't wait, warm weather at last!:yeah2

i have no mood at all for travelling right before or after giving birth.. so i am not going anywhere.

are you all going to breastfeed your baby? i for sure will. i like this feeling a lot

how about going to bangkok or singapore? thailand would be nice. singapore is too similar to hong kong, high rised building and all. or maybe hangzhou, china. i'll be checking out travel package next week.
besides this, i have also started looking at insurance for my baby. heard that i can only buy insurance for baby, two weeks after she is born. but i am just started checking out the policies now. any good recommendation?
also, how about a will? who will be the legal guardian for baby, (touch wood!) if something happens to me and my spouse..
do u think about it?
i plan to breastfeed my baby,, at least for the first two months when i am on leave.. hopefully, i can.

I hadn't even thought about insurance for the baby, had no idea it even existed! Better start looking to see what it is all about.

Am planning on breastfeeding too, for the first four months or so, will probably start on a bottle once baby breaks it's first teeth - ow!

HangZhou will probably be colder than HK at the mo. Hubby and I work in Dongguan and it is still much colder there than here.

Hi to all

I am due september 26th and am very excited . It is my first and I have decided to become a single mum by choice. So after a long process I am happy to say I am going to be a mum!

Am currently seeing Dr Dawkins and have had my 6 week scan and seen the heartbeat.

Would love to get together and meet others to compare experiences.

Any advice that I should know?

If you are going to travel when pregnant I think it's best to go somewhere with good hospitals and doctors, just in case! You also need to make sure that you have good health insurance that covers maternity care abroad, again just in case.

With my first pregnancy I didn't fly at all. But with this one, flew long haul at 15 weeks and it was awful.... so much more uncomfortable when pregnant....and didn't help had my toddler asleep on me almost the whole 1o hr flight!

Am hoping breastfeeding is like riding a bike, i.. you never forget! I breastfed my son until ten months when he pretty much weaned himself....am hoping to go to a year with 2nd one.
