Dr Zara Chan - feedback, review and cost

Hi there,

Currently looking for a OB/GYN, preferably female doctor who’s supportive of natural birth, and hoping to do a little bit of research based on real moms’ opinions. Thanks so much for reading this post in advance!

Has anyone had good experience recently with Dr Zara Chan at OT&P? Would you recommend her to those who wish to have natural birth? Her vaginal birth fee is quoted 75K for private room. Is this considered within a normal range in HK?

I’m new here and a little overwhelmed (but excited) with this whole journey. Would be so grateful if anyone could share your feedback.

Have heard Dr Zara Chan has a good bedside manner and pro-natural.
75K does sound high. Did you ask how much she charges for a double and 4 room? Usually their rates double/quadruple depending on the room type.

She was indeed nice and friendly in person. We asked for other room charges too. We ended up exploring further. It’s just our personal experience, but there was a lack of transparency and professionalism when dealing with clinic staff afterwards.

Upon opening up and sharing our experience with friends, we decided to meet Dr Grace and midwives at Central Health. Very happy with our first appointment! They seem caring, straight forward, and transparent :)
