Dr Wan Macor

Hi guys

Has anyone been to Dr. Wan Macor for first foetal scan recently and if you have, what happens at it? Total newbie here and would appreciate any info!

don't know about this dr in particular.

ultrasound scans:

-lie down on the chair/bed
-lift your shirt, lower the tops of your trousers
-they put some cold jelly onto your belly
-turn on the monitor
-look at the screen

when it's finished, they usually give you a tissue to wipe of the jelly.

done.

sometimes, if the baby is too small to see, then they will do a vaginal ultrasound, in which case they use a tube and insert it into the cervix (like when you have a pap smear). they can get closer to baby and can often pick up more using this method, if you are very early in your pregnancy.
