I'd love to hear what people have to say about Dr Stephen Hui. We had a first consultation with him today and he seemed quite good. How long is the wait at his clinic usually? Does he return calls within a reasonable time? What else is good/bad to know about him? Many thanks!

Not sure if its the same Dr. But after my delivery my Dr called a Stephen Hui to examine D. He was linked to the Matilda, and apparently he's a paediatric respiratory specialist. (sp?). Anyway, although he's very charming and got great bed-side manner, he even cut his Sunday hike short to come to the Adventist. We found him very young and inexperienced. We had an issue with D and being a respiratory specialist it was something Dr Hui had never seen. Rather than call another paediatrician, he called a specialist who examined D and wanted to sedate him and conduct a few more tests. We managed to get the Drs to postpone the testing and were discharged. The next day we took D to our paediatrician (Dannie Ting) who assured us that D was fine and a simple xray confirmed it. I remember Dr Hui, even pulled me aside to ask me if D was insured and in that instant I knew I couldn't trust him.

Well said, Rani! My son had similar, if not identical "bad" experience from the "treatments" given by Dr. Stephen Hui when he was born.

Apologies for digging up an old thread but I have just been recommended Dr Stephen Hui by my obgyn as the paediatrician at the birth. Does anyone have any recent experience concerning him as I got a bit worried reading the threads above?

Also, has anyone had any experience with Steve Onsiong as their anaesthetist before?

Thanks very much!

Michelle
