Dr Patrick Chan Vs Dr Alexander Doo

Hi all,
I'm glad that I found this forum as it looks very informative. I have seen old threads about the above mentioned doctors, but was just wondering if anyone can share more recent experience with them.
I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and trying to make a research and find the right doctor to deliver my first baby.
I'm considering to go private, as current situation is not looking very promising. I have a small coverage from my insurance, so I would really appreciate if the recent costs of delivery with Dr Doo and Dr Chan can be shared. I was thinking about either Sanatorium or Matilda depending on costs and doctors agreements.
Thank you all in advance for you replies! I look forward to receiving them!
Stay safe and have a lovely day!;)

Just call up the relevant Doctors and they will provide their latest charges - just make sure you ask for the following:

Initial consultation, follow up, scans, tests. For the birth, they'll provide the charges based on a ward and private room.

All in all for all appointments, scans, obs delivery, paediatrician and hospital fees of 70-100k for a "normal" birth.

Hi,
Thank you for the suggestion. I was actually wondering to hear some real experience from the people who recently delivered with these doctors.
Many thanks!

Hi Dian,

I am carrying my second baby and there is no doubt that I would go for Dr Chan again. He is very caring and gentle, and he is always willing to spend the time with us to tell us what is up next and what should we be paying attention to. In addition, when issues come up, he always analysis the issue and let us know what is the cause to it, what's the relevant statistic and what are the ways to resolve the issue - he always gives us options to choose how we want to do it and he respects our choice and will do his best to accommodate. I think it is very important, as a parents, we should get to choose what we want to do for our baby. And one very important note is he is very practical, he did not ask me to do any additional test just to "play safe" - it is very important, you don't want to ride a roller coaster ride during your pregnancy!

WRT the cost, you better call and ask his nurses as I do not want to disclose this in public space. Hope the above info helps!
