Dr Dannie Ting (Canossa)?

She looks after both my children 3yrs and 1 yr. I see her at both the hospital at the baby clinic and at her surgery in Central. I find her very friendly and approachable.

We see Dr Dannie Ting too. She's great with kids, you can always get an appt within the same day and doesn't overmedicate.

Dr. Ting is a great pediatrician but I've had some mothers who said that she wasn't able to treat their children's symptoms. I think it really is a matter of whether you get along with the doctor.

Dr Ting is quite popular. She may not be approachable on the first visit but on the second visit & on, she appreciates that you are committed to her & she is much better. So far, she is always on the mark with my child's symptoms & I have never had to go back a second time for the same illness.

Agree with all the positive stuff about Dr. Ting. The best things we like about her are (1) she doesn't prescribe medicine at the drop of a hat --only when absolutely necessary; and (2) no matter how many patients she has in the waiting room, we never felt rushed during any of our consultations with her.

we went on the recommendation of rani. loves her. i think it's so important that even in busy seasons and times, that you can still get same day appointment.
our first paed once said i can only get an appt 3 days later.. ridiculous...that's when i switched to Dr. Ting.

Kelly,

Great! I also like Dr Kenneth Tsui at the Canossa out-patient. He's a GP but has a diploma in Pediatrics. D had an allergic reaction last summer and his entire body was covered in a rash. Poor guy was miserable. Dr Tsui cleared it up within 48 hrs.

thanks rani.

just curious, when you have two docs you like, how/when do you decide which doc to go to when D's sick?

I have two doctors for my youngest child a GP and a paediatrician. I first take her to the GP and only when she suggests that she need to see the specialist do I get an appointment with the paediatrician.

Because the GP and the paediatrician are at the same clinic I get priority to see the paediatrician.

All my others have only ever been to a GP; fortunately they have never been ill enough to get to see a specialist!

Kelly,

We usually see Dr Ting at her clinic in Central. If we need to see a Dr outside of her clinic hrs, then we'll go straight to Canossa's out-patient clinic, which is 24 hrs.
