Does anyone know what is Dr Choy's delivery charges ? Can anyone advise how much would it cost in total for delivery at Adventist ( Private room) .

i am now 20 weeks and I heard only positive things about Dr. Choy. do you know more details now about her delivery charges?
Would be nice, if you could write me a short answer!

Hi ladies,

I saw Dr Choy when I was pregnant, but I went back to my country to deliver my baby. She was a fanastic gynae, very professional and very encouraging. I must say it's not cheap to deliver in HK unless you are a local and you deliver in Govt. hospital. I remember Dr Choy has a package, try calling her clnic and check with her receptionist.

dr. choy's all inclusive package costs hk$38,000. that covers everything from scans, to pre and postnatal visits (about 23), to the extra care required if you experience complications. the only thing the package doesn't cover is medication.
 
just for the sake of having a record: her delivery charge is 30k for a regular birth, 35k incl vacuum or scheduled c-section, 40 emergency c-section. 5k more each for semi-private, 5k more for private, and another 5k for vip.

so emergency c-section in vip costs 55k
 
The $38k package is not all inclusive. For my delivery (via emergency c-section), I spent in total HK$68K just with Dr Choy. Most of the tests (blood tests, sugar tests, etc) are not included in the package. Dr Choy will also recommend that you purchase calcium tablets, folic acid tablets, maternity socks and belts from her at a very high mark-up, so you can save quite a few thousand dollars by buying these things elsewhere.

On top of that, the hospital bill with St Pauls Hospital (semi-private room) came up to HK$100K. The hospital bill includes the costs of anesthetist and the PD.
