Hi Just wondering if anybody knew of private midwifes or doulas that work around mid December.
I have been in touch with Annerely however they have advised they may not have doulas past the 17th Dec and I am due on the 16th!
This is my 2nd pregnancy and used a doula the first time which was amazing. DH works long hours and may not be able to be around throughout the labour so proved to be amazing help as my doula drove me to hospital the first time alone and called DH when it was getting close.
I am new to HK (arriving in Aug at 22 weeks) and still debating the whole public private issue.. I was really hoping to have a doula to help me stay at home as long as possible. Even a private midwife would be great for support. For my first baby I used a birthing centre which was midwife run, doula and hypnobirthing. It was a good birth and hoping to achieve similar scenario.
I did not have a private OB and was very happy with the service. 1st bub was in Sydney, Australia.
Any advice would be great. Thanks!
