I wonder if any moms are using this on your baby and interested to meet up and share?
Great for the LO to meet and interact as well,
I just started informally with my girl who is coming 9mths

Hi! I have the book and the flash cards and have been wanting to start my 8 month old daughter on the program. I just moved here from Tokyo 3 weeks ago so with all the hassle of the move, I haven't had the time to read the book through yet.;) I would love to get together and hear how it may or may not be working and discuss other early education materials with other moms as well. My daughter is half Japanese and half English so I have educational material of these two languages - which Sasha just loves to eat and tear up. :(
I am beginning to think that maybe she just needs friends....
so I'm also looking for playgroups nearby. :)
 
I just started using the flash cards with my baby, would also like to hear from you guys on Doman method . I am now looking for playgroups in TKO. yuukalim0404 and Sasha's Mom, any good suggestions?
 
little me, sasha mom, I am using flash cards on a irregular basis but will love to meet up and share as I am still trying to form an informal playgirl of some sort with moms.

I am currently not working, do let me know if we can meet somewhere near TKO to share, cheers

That is so great! Do you enjoy playing flash cards with your child? When did your daughter know how to read? Did you "test" it out by showing her 2 flashcards?

I just started playing flashcards with my little one for abt a month now on a irregular basis, and at a very slow pace... I try to get 3 sessions done a day with 5 words per session. Sometimes she smiles when she reads the card, but sometimes she looks away.... do you repeat the session if your daughter looked away?

I decided to try just a few days ago to test it out see if it is working .... I showed her 2 flashcards and asked her to pick one,.. first trial she picked the wrong one, another trail she picked the right one.. seems like she was just randomly picking one... .... am I testing her too early? When should I start the testing? After she's learnt a certain amount of words?

Any GD moms please share your experience if you don't mind.

Doman flash cards

Hi everyone!

Sorry, I hadn't been checking these threads for a while.
My daughter is now almost 11 months and I am still just using the Doman flash cards every now and then and probably not as consistently as I am supposed to. I'm embarrased to admit but I haven't had the time to the read the book yet so I am probably not using the cards correctly as my daugher doesn't seem very interested. She is much more interested in interacting with people at this stage so maybe what she needs more are playdates.

I heard that the Shichida Method for right brain training and Doman's are quite similar. Does anyone know what the differences are?
 
no big difference. though shichida suggests to match up with proper diet starting from in the womb until grown ups.
